Great menu, food and service. Such a cozy vibe, good romantic spot or great with friends and family. Drinks are great too. You can’t lose here.

The food overall was excellent. The fried calamari starter with those Italian peppers mixed in was a welcome surprise. The focaccia bread was really good and fresh served with a high-quality olive oil. I had the chicken parmesan with vodka sauce (#1). The sauce was fresh and bright and had just the right amount of bite from vodka (which is usually missing). My wife had the carbonara and she said it was good but carbonara traditionally doesn’t have cream in it and she would’ve liked a more egg forward traditional carbonara. That said, the pasta was cooked very well and there are several other great things about the restaurant. The Chef and owner was extremely attentive, even seeing us on the stairwell on the way out a half hour later asking about the meal, very impressive.

Fantastic food and atmosphere. Even substituted regular noodles for zuccini noodles (i know, i know) and the carbonara was amazing. We will try to come back everytime we visit boston. What a special place!!

Lovely atmosphere; we were there after dark, nice dim lighting. Food delicious (chicken piccata, seafood linguini, veal parm, lobster ravioli). The ravioli was one of my best meals during our few days. The noodles that came with veal/chicken were weird & too dense/gummy. A veggie would’ve been better. Quite pricey as everything in North End. Have to be in that vaca spending mindset.

I was brought here on my birthday with high expectations for an elegant experience, and I wasn't disappointed. The service was exceptional, and the menu both in terms of variety and portion size was truly impressive. We began with Anna Maria's Famous Stuffed Meatballs, which turned out to be among the finest I've ever had in Boston's North End.For my main course, I chose the Filetto - a perfectly grilled filet mignon accompanied by roasted baby Yukon potatoes, seasonal vegetables, a rich demi-glace sauce, and a delectable lobster-stuffed mushroom. It was a classic dish that truly exemplified the caliber of this restaurant. The lobster-infused mushroom was a delightful surprise, introducing a unique twist I hadn't considered before.Equally outstanding was the Rigatoni Affumicata, which held its own among the other exquisite dishes. My entire experience was thoroughly enjoyable with an amicable ambiance. I'm already looking forward to returning, especially during hockey season when I might catch a glimpse of some players or even Ray Bourque himself.

Ambience was great, homey feel and not too crowded. Menu was amazing! Service was friendly and we felt very well taken care of. The food... the food was amazing. We got the arugula salad, lasagna, and carbonara, all incredible. They also offered parm to top our pasta. If we weren't going to the Bruins game after, we would have stayed for dessert since it all looked delicious.

Excellent dinner with outstanding service!! Everything was beyond our expectations. Service/quality/atmosphere. Visit of the maître d’ and the owner to our table to ensure everything was to our liking. We will definitely return on our next visit to Boston.

Excellent food and our waiter was wonderful. Was disappointed with how fast the first two courses arrived at the table. We hadn't taken a bite of our carpaccio when the large salad arrived. Asked the waiter to slow things down after that and they did. Overall this is a place you have to go to because the food is so good. You just may want to order your food one course at a time.

I have eaten in the North End more times than I can count over the years. Finally got to try Tresca and it was by far the best dinner we have had in the North End. Everything was perfect. Owner/chef came out and checked on everyone. The entire staff struck the right balance of checking in on us without interrupting our great evening. Food was perfect. There's a good reason it's impossible to get a reservation here at times.

We dined with our two teenagers before a Celtics game and everyone loved their food - the calamari, burrata, lobster ravioli, bolognese, and chicken parm were all excellent. Service was excellent as well and we got out in time for the game.

.. Still can't adequately describe the overpriced, underwhelming "special" offered to us on Washington's B-day weekend .. what a disappointment .. Attention North End restauranteurs: offering sketchy cuisine to the casual diner or tourist crowd is not good for business .. not sure if it was the $7 - 8 oz. ginger ale or the $49 pile of mashed potatoes with bits of charred vegetables surrounding a hollowed out veal bone on top .. I'm sure that fare would appeal to someone .. maybe more marsala sauce would have helped .. if I had a straw .. Nonetheless, I certainly cannot envision recommending Tresca to anyone ..

Delicious - as always! Tresca is our place to go for special occasions. The food is consistently superb. We started with calamari and the lobster and mushrooms. Our meals were the Bolognese, Lobster Ravioli, Linguine alla Vongole, and I loved my Gamberoni ala Bourque.

I don't normally go to Italian restaurants given my Sicilian heritage and growing up with great food each day. However, this place is off the charts good. Started with Arancini, and 2 special appetizers, stuffed scallops and grilled octopus. Perfect, and they could have just delivered trays of that and dinner would be perfect. I had the Seafood Fra Diavolo special, over angel hair. That's my favorite dish to begin with. Seafood, including lobster, mussels, shrimp and calamari was abundant. Calamari is hard to get right as it can get rubbery if overcooked. Not here, fresh and perfectly made. Mussels same thing, but fresh as can be. The sauce, well I was spooning it in after I finished the seafood and pasta. Could have dipped bread in it all night, but was stuffed. Wife had Eggplant Parmesan with oddly shaped pasta that seemed freshly made and was delicious. Wife loved her meal. Daughter kept it simple with capellini and shrimp scampi dish. Thumbs up there. For dessert we had chocolate lava cake and donut holes, both with vanilla bean Gelato. Donut holes had pistachio crumbs on it too. Both were great. Service was great, friendly and prompt. What I like is that the owner/chef made rounds and checked in with everyone. To me that is old style Italian. Highly recommend this place

Out of all the places in the North End, Tresca has been on my must try list for years. Never really had an occasion to go until yesterday for a date or a game. But it went extremely well. Very spacious and intimate on the inside—I love that it's 2 floors and has a touch of classic architecture like the doors. Then the food was?. I tried the chicken Parm egg rolls and gnocchi, while my date got the carbonara, and we we both impressed. So impressed, I forgot to take pictures?. The food was super hot upon arriving. It did take awhile to come since it was dinner in the North End on a weekend, but the servers constantly checked in and on 3 different occasions asked if we wanted fresh Parmesan cheese. Not too pricey either. I'd definitely go back. And is now my top North End spot. Would love to do Table 77 one day!
