Hands down the best sushi in Boston! UNI has quickly earned its place as my go-to for celebratory dinners with my partner. Fantastic place to impress a date or family with a cool and fun atmosphere. Friendly and welcoming service ties this delicious experience together. We can't wait to go back!

This is one of those places that's overly precious -- expensive and serves very tiny plates, and snobby to boot. Dark ambiance. It seemed the server did not like that we didn't order as much as he wanted, and he took it upon himself to ask our kids if they wanted more bao (which of course, we would be paying for). Atrocious behavior. The tiny servings tasted fine, but skip this place if you want to enjoy dinner for a reasonable price.

Food was good, but service could've been better. There was 2 couples beside us and manager decided to come by and check on everyone(including couple on each side of us) but us. It wouldn't have been noticeable if he wasn't the only person in a suit and he decided to skip over only us for some reason.

Such a wonderful experience. Service is always out of this world. Most times we don't even order they bring us what they think we would like and it is always spot

Nice place and tasty food, but a bit pricy from my point of view. If you don’t mind that, you can have a really good time and enjoy some interesting tastes. The service is flawless and the food is pretty good.Go for tuna if possible ?

One of my favorite restaurants in Boston - particularly to celebrate a special occasion. The food isn’t cheap, but the price reflects amazing ingredients with equally great hospitality. Their cocktails are interesting, wine is great, and their uni served on a spoon is really the most luxurious cherry on top.

For the price, the food just didn't wow me. It was good, service was helpful/attentive, but just didn't think it was worth the money. And where we sat (the "lower level") was very cramped and loud.

Our server Josh offered us a modified tasting menu. The food was really phenomenal. We sat at the counter which was fun as the chef talked to us a lot and enhanced our experience. Great energy in the place!

A true Boston gem. Fantastic! It’s so hard finding good sushi in the US (we traveled to Japan last year), and Uni blew our socks off.

The food is a disaster. None of the dishes we ordered tasted good that night. The sprouts were crazy salty; I couldn't taste anything after that. The crab fried rice was super salty too. And don't get me started on the uni spoon—I've had it at plenty of Japanese spots, but the one here almost made me wanna throw up. Way too fishy…

Excellent service and excellent food. 5/6 had the tasting menu. They took pains to accommodate the individual who wanted to go ala carte (kudos to the kitchen and service staff!). All plates were unusual and delicious. The one drawback was the noise level. It was not a packed room but it was loud enough that we had trouble hearing each other across the table -- a bit too "energetic" for such a refined dining experience in my opinion. Overall though, it was an excellent food "experience". We will return.

Service was impeccable all around! The server introduced themselves immediately and was able to offer menu suggestions for food restrictions at the table. I can't rave enough about the food!!! It was delicious and the presentation was spectacular. This is a must if you are in Boston!

Highly recommend Dungeness crab fried rice! Unagi was delicious. Maine uni spoon was packed with umami, but texture were all similar. Brussel sprouts were good, but my least favorite out of all Chef Ken Oringer's restaurants. Drinks were Ma. Pfeiffer and Pocketful of Sunshine (tasty, had to get two).

As usual Uni was amazing. The chow fun noodles, the cod cheek pakoras, bao bun, and crab fried rice were our favorite dishes. We were with a guest with a severe nut allergy and the chef/staff was very conscientious in informing us dish by dish regarding allergy issues.

UNI is my staple and go-to, whether it's a special occasion or if I just feel like splurging that day. I've been here a handful of times the past month and throughout the year — can not recommend the tasting menu enough. It always leaves me so happy and full, the fish and quality of ingredients are so incredibly fresh and flavorful. I've been to most of the omakase in Boston but UNI always remains my favorite. They put their own spin on the traditional omakase style with their own flavorings and seasoning - it's so unique and love how their tasting menu changes based on what's in season. Highly recommend their dessert menu - I usually order the whole dessert menu when I come here because I haven't had crème brûlée, chocolate mousse, oat ice cream, or earl grey sorbet quite like this before. I rave about not only the quality of their fish and entrees but their dessert is what always leads me to leave with a smile on my face. The service has always been spot on - some of the kindest most hospitable staff I've met and make UNI such a warm and fun place to dine at. I will continue to come back here and have converted many of my friends and family into UNI lovers. It's truly an incredible and vibey restaurant if you are a sushi lover like me!
