Excellent quality of Italian products
So, we have a six year old that was incredibly hungry. Went up to the pasta bar which touted itself as quick. The joke was on us. We asked if we could get gnocchi with red sauce. The person at the counter scoffed and said "The only thing with red sauce is this" and slammed her finger on the spaghetti. For being "made to order" it's pretty amazing that you cant actually make an order. They had 3 people in the "kitchen" yet somehow it took over 15 minutes for us to receive our food. We got AT MOST six ounces of spaghetti tossed haphazardly with the sauce and covered with a basil leaf. Absolutely disastrous service, but at least the sauce tasted ok. Avoid the pasta bar, and for the owner whoever was at that station cashiering at 4pm on September 3rd, please do even the most remedial training for this employee... otherwise I would let them go swiftly.
Best chocolate ( expensive but amazing)
I would like to second them bringing gelato please ðŸ˜ðŸ’”it was the best gelato I had in Italy.

We came for a lunch reservation and our server attended to us once then disappeared. We never saw him again and had like 5 different servers who never came back with our drink orders, even when we asked 3 times. We waited 40 minutes and decided to leave. Very unimpressed. The food was good, but service, could use improvements.
Pizza and all of the dessert. The fresh pasta is good too
Calamarii fritti and italian pasta and pizza
Wait staff was very attentive and kind.
We came here for dinner, none of us had ever been here before. Its kind of an odd set up, restaurant type area in the middle of what appears to be a grocery store. Seating is bar stools at a thin table, not very comfortable. Service was very good, fast and friendly. Pasta is very fresh and tasted excellent although a bit pricey. The place is designed to have you sit and eat and then leave, not linger for any period of time. We wanted a quick meal so this worked for us. Overall, good experience.

There are a variety of delicious, upscale prepared food counters in here - mostly sandwiches, salads, pizzas, and pastas. The prepared meals were on the pricier side, although delicious enough to be worth the expense. There are tables inside if you want to sit here and enjoy your food. There's also a grocery store inside where you can buy produce, dried fruits and nuts, and various chocolates and cookies.
Was excellent food and great fast service
As my title implies, the selection at the grocery part of Eataly is fantastic. Legitimate cheese and pasta (meat section needs some work) offerings from Italy. We ate at La Pasta/La Pizza and the appetizer was the best part of the meal. Neither the pasta nor pizza was that good. For that reason alone, we would not return to eat.
We visited this great store during the day and were amazed at the goods on offer and there quality so we decided to book dinner in the Pasta and Pizza restaurant. That was a mistake. Our starter of squid and zucchini was excellent. The mains however were terrible. I had seafood linguini. It was the most off putting smell from the dish. The seafood was well over cooked and the sauce it was in was like dishwater and tasted of nothing. My wife had pasta in a tomato sauce. The sauce was just like someone had poured a tin of chopped tomatoes over it. There was no body taste to it. We also both thought our pasta was under cooked and chewy as if it hadn't been allowed to dry properly before being used. I suggest the chef returns to flipping burgers.
Eataly it self is just wonderful! Love the shopping sections and prepared food! But the restaurant La Pizza and La Pasta do not live up to expectation. Had to wait 20mins over our reservation time, once seated given water, order taken, bussers delivered our food, portions were especially small for $29 pasta dishes, our waiter never returned to ask if we needed beverages or how our meal was, we had to go find salt and pepper ourselves, lol. It’s was almost like a joke! I recommend you ordered pickup and go sit somewhere cute around eataly! Forget the restraunts!
