We came here for dinner, none of us had ever been here before. Its kind of an odd set up, restaurant type area in the middle of what appears to be a grocery store. Seating is bar stools at a thin table, not very comfortable. Service was very good, fast and friendly. Pasta is very fresh and tasted excellent although a bit pricey. There are a variety of delicious, upscale prepared food counters in here - mostly sandwiches, salads, pizzas, and pastas. The prepared meals were on the pricier side, although delicious enough to be worth the expense. There are tables inside if you want to sit here and enjoy your food. There's also a grocery store inside where you can buy produce, dried fruits and nuts, and various chocolates and cookies.
As my title implies, the selection at the grocery part of Eataly is fantastic. Legitimate cheese and pasta (meat section needs some work) offerings from Italy. We ate at La Pasta/La Pizza and the appetizer was the best part of the meal. Neither the pasta nor pizza was that good. For that reason alone, we would not return to eat.
