Nice place, limited sitting area near the restaurant, some more over the road. Waiting time is long, 25min to get our order.

The seafood and clam chowder are delicious! I’d highly recommend eating here for the seafood. There are some no -seafood options and a a few kid choices. Prices are average. It’s a take out or eat outside place. There are picnic tables and a small parking lot. Service is pretty fast. Ice cream portions are large!Parking: There’s some parking, it’s small but you can find a spot.

Quintessential Cape Cod roadside food stand. The fried shrimp was terrific and abondant. The ice cream portions were HUGE, and they had a sufficiently diverse selection - though not as broad as the destination ice cream stops like Sundae School! Ate their twice on our last visit to the area. Highly recommended.Parking: Abundant, free parking right out front, with direct access to the local traffic corridor.

Ice cream was $9.50 for a medium without toppings. I assumed it would be amazing for that price but it tasted like hood chocolate. Great location near the bay beaches but I won’t be going again for their now very inflated prices.

Kate's is the absolute best. Their food and ice cream are awesome. Unfortunately Kate's owners are putting it up for sale after running this business for 38 years. They will be open 9/8, 9/9 and 9/10. Hopefully someone will buy it and run it the same way. Why mess with success?Parking: They have a good size parking lot. And you can call your order in.Kid-friendliness: They have a great and reasonable kids menu. They are also pet friendly.

Higher priced but well worth it. Excellent food quality. There twice in 2 days. Large portions, both lunch and ice cream.

Ambiance is a 3/5 because the tables are dirty and old. But the area is nice and the tables are spread out. How to bring the ambiance up? Have the college kids clean the tables instead of being on their phones.Service is a 2/5 as they get the food and ice cream out quick but their attitude is absolutely horrendous. We came and asked if we could sample the ice cream. The guy working was snarky to us when we asked questions. We asked for a sample of the ice cream because they had extremely limiting flavors. His eyes practically rolled out of his head when he responded « we don’t do that ». But they used to do samples. I can understand a sample limit if you are budgeting but from a health and sanitation perspective sampling isn’t unsanitary. You take a not used plastic spoon and put some ice cream on it. So at this point it’s just a cheap business decision. Again it would be one thing if they never did samples. But they did in the past.Cuisine: Kate’s used to be our go to for food. But about 4 years ago the food started coming out extremely greasy so we stopped going for the food and would just come for the ice cream. But now the ice cream isn’t even that great! Having less than half of the ice cream flavors available is understandable at night because maybe they just make small batches. But then we went back two nights later…. It was those flavors from before minus 5 flavors. Then the next day mid day we pass by and it’s even less flavors. Just goes to show the ice cream is yes home made but probably made monthly and now they are just penny pinching and not making new ice cream. But rather using up what they have left. All in all it’s not the Kates it used to be and will not be coming back and will not be suggesting it to others.

We ordered a shrimp dinner to go. Waited about 20 minutes for the order. When we finally opened the box to eat our food, we had gotten the wrong thing. They gave us Calamari instead. My husband didn’t want to go back and complain so we chose to try it. It was super greasy. Like it had been floating in cold grease. The fries tasted like seafood. After taking a couple of bites, I just couldn’t eat it and threw it away. $25 wasted

Great seafood, classic cape feel . Good for families, picnic tables outside. Can be long wait times for food but they warn you while you are in line to order with estimates which is nice!

Amazing utterly fresh fried fish combo containing shrimp, cod, scallops, calamari all fried to perfection accompanied with clam fritters; and save room for the vast selection of ice cream in all varieties. Stop at this gem you won't be disappointed!!!

It took about 50 minutes for them to make a burger, cape cod club, and a grilled cheese. Many other orders were called ahead of us that were ordered after us. The grilled cheese was cooked in some sort of oil that tasted like what they deep fry fried dough in. Chowder was off. Onion rings were great. Ice cream was also good but very expensive!

This Lobster Roll gets top marks from this family in of Cape Cod food critics! Go Big and get the larger portion!Served on a nice bun with fries, NOT a hotdog bun! Treat yourself and get the chowder Aldo for the full experience!Caution: no Bathroom available on site. Not even a porta potie. But don’t let that deter you from a good experience here!

Great calamari. Lobster roll was huge. Well made and good lobster chunks. Not just bits of lobster. Got the 1/3pound and afraid to see how large the 1/2 would be. 10/10
