I have lived in Brighton for 4 years and whenever I walked by this place the delicious smell would always make me peek over but for some reason I never went in! Last night my partner and I finally made our way inside and holy moly you could just tell it was going to be authentic and delicious. Our waiter/cashier was attentive and polite. We got a few things to share, however the 2 plates that were our entree was a generous portion enough to have leftovers. All of the meat was well seasoned and full of flavor. The spinach pie was absolutely to die for, and the Greek dressing for the salad was like crack and could absolutely be used as a sauce on its own. We will definitely be back to try more. If you live in Brighton please give this place a try!!

Rude people work here. I requested to substitute the Greek salad in my order with a tabouleh salad. While the change was eventually made, the staff displayed an extremely rude and unprofessional attitude, including making inappropriate and violent comments.
Furthermore, I was surprised to find that the staff insisted tabouleh was an appetizer and not a salad, I told them I am from the Middle East and it is a salad in our culture, they replied saying this is a Greek restaurant, and led to further rudeness interaction when I pointed out that regardless of the cuisines they serve, the tabouleh is still a SALAD commonly known as a Middle Eastern salad. The staff’s reaction to this correction was defensive and rude.
Due to their behavior, I asked to cancel my order. The staff refused, citing a ridiculous return policy (if you touch the takeout bag, you can't return it),and when I informed them that I will speak with the police about it, they said the police won't do anything, they were right. I guess they had previous experience treating customers with disrespect for them to know the answer.
Again the food is okay if you don't mind the lack of professionalism and poor customer service.

I rarely ever write reviews, but my experience at Esperia Grill in Brighton was so bad that I feel obligated to warn others. From start to finish, this was one of the most unpleasant restaurant visits I’ve ever had.
The food was terrible — bland, greasy, and poorly cooked. What was supposed to be fresh Mediterranean cuisine tasted like it had been sitting under a heat lamp for hours. To make things worse, I actually started feeling sick after eating there, which says everything you need to know about the quality and handling of their food.
The service was equally awful. The staff seemed completely disinterested and unprofessional — slow, inattentive, and borderline rude. Plates were slammed down on the table without a word, refills were ignored, and when I politely mentioned that something tasted off, I was met with a shrug.
The restaurant itself wasn’t even clean — sticky tables, dirty utensils, and a generally unpleasant atmosphere. I honestly can’t believe this place has any good reviews.
Save your time, your money, and your stomach — avoid Esperia Grill at all costs. There are plenty of great restaurants in Brighton; this is absolutely not one of them.

The best Avgolemono (chicken lemon soup), very delicious, flavorful and not salty. The stuffed grape leaves were just as good. The prices were reasonable and fair. The service was outstanding and hospitable, and the decor was nice with many pictures of Greece, a clean restaurant. I highly recommend Esperia Grill and I’ll definitely return and try the other dishes too.

It was a very bad experience. My husband and children passed by here. Because the restaurant was closed (the restaurant was closed but there were still people preparing to close), we could only choose the DD next door to buy something to eat casually. My husband parked the car in the parking lot shared by this DD and them. I went to DD to buy donuts. While waiting in the car, my child wanted to go to the toilet, but DD's bathroom was always in use, so I took my child to another restaurant on the road to borrow the bathroom. When my child and I returned to the car, the owner of the restaurant called a tow truck very rudely and forced us to give We can only be allowed to leave by 60 dollars. I told my husband that our consumption voucher was shared by DD. We were spending in DD, and you had no reason to tow our car. He completely ignored it and scolded us loudly that we had to pay. I didn't want to compromise, and my husband also called the police, but The police seemed to be used to the behavior of this restaurant. They answered directly that there was no way to solve their problem. I couldn't imagine that there would be such a bad rule of law and service in this country. Because we were blocked by a trailer and stood in a stalemate for nearly an hour, my child had been scared to tears by the other party's roar. My husband thought it was best to leave as soon as possible for the safety of me and my children. Later, we were forced to pay them 60 dollars, but this was not reasonable, and it was not my voluntary. Don't go to the worst restaurant!

Finally some really good authentic Greek food. Recently ordered take out first time and my Greek mother loved the lamb. Mic drop!! My husband loved the chicken gyro and the yummy sides. We plan to frequent here often. We live further outside Boston but worth the trip. Bravo!

Edit: now I understand - the bad reviews are from people who are mad because they’re strict about parking, none of them actually got food there. I don’t blame them btw, they have 4 spots and customers from every business in the area try to park there all the time. That’s a real shame, google should really reign these reviewers in or make them prove they purchased food there.
It’s crazy to me that this place has 4.3 stars. This is hands down the best Greek food and some of the best food you can get in Boston.
The octopus is out of this world. You can’t even compare it to anything else. The pork gyros are amazing, the fried feta, everything is top notch. I eat there probably once a week for the last two years and it never lets me down. Probably my favorite restaurant in the city.

Horrible service. Staff was incredibly rude. Do not support this establishment.
Ordered their half chicken plate and been sick all weekend. Doc ran tests, confirmed campylobacter infection. Unsanitary conditions. Undercooked chicken. Stay away from this place. Rude owner. Tense atmosphere. On the bright side, I lost 8 lbs in two days hah!
Parking fiasco
