Garrison House is a popular restaurant known for its great food and service. The establishment features live music on Thursday and Saturday, comedy on Sunday, and brunch Saturday and Sunday, making it a great spot for social gatherings. The menu offers a variety of dishes, including the Mac and cheese, lamb gyro wrap with French fries, and Chicken and Waffles. Guests enjoy the fresh pretzel bites and a great selection of beers, including pitchers and a killer Bloody Mary. The staff is friendly and attentive, providing good service to guests. The bar menu is pretty good, and the cozy atmosphere is enhanced by live music in the basement, which can be loud for some. The food is generally excellent, with favorites like the pretzel bites, mac and cheese, and the crispy fish sandwich with zesty dressing. Cocktails, such as espresso martinis and pear martinis, are also well-received. However, service can sometimes be slow, especially during busy times or large parties, and seating arrangements may not always be ideal. Despite these issues, the restaurant remains a recommended spot for those in Brookline, especially since it is less crowded than the busier sections of Coolidge Corner. Overall, Garrison House offers a lively and friendly environment with tasty food and drinks, perfect for socializing or celebrating special occasions.
