We stay at the Charles Hotel whenever we come to Cambridge. We love to eat at Bar Enza! The food is always excellent and the service is terrific! The knowledgeable servers and the support staff are always doing everything they can to make our dining experience extremely pleasant. For a hotel restaurant it is a practically perfect dining experience!!!

From start to finish, this was a fine meal. The house made pastas were delicious. They were preceded by Wagyu carapaccio and buratta with prosciutto as an appetizer. The wines by the glass were varied and delicious. The setting - inside of the Charles Hotel - puts to rest the idea that hotels do not have good restaurants within. On the contrary, this place is outstanding 👏

Nice cozy environment in the courtyard behind the Charles Hotel in Harvard Square. Small but diverse menu…we shared the Heirloom Tomato app and tried the gnocchi and spinach pasts for entrees. All were very good. The service was only OK…if you want a very relaxed evening with no interruptions by a server then this is the place for you.
I had very enjoyable night. Def would come here again. Tables and booths are bit weirdly sized IMO but I'm also a larger human than most.

The menu is a joy to peruse and it seems you can't go wrong with your choices. The dishes are creatively designed, carefully prepared, beautifully presented and simply delicious. The pasta could not have been better. The room is warm and interesting albeit a bit loud for my taste.
Parking: Parking fees at Charles Hotel are reduced for restaurant patrons.

Updated 2.2024.The service was mediocre (I watched the ice melt into my negroni for 10 minutes before I actually got to drink it). The food was ok. Fritto misto was really good. Mushrooms pears and taleggio not so much. It was a lot louder this time too.And the bill felt a bit steep. Over $100/person for a drink, an antipasto and a primo.The polpettone and especially the broccoli they brought with it were very good. Also the soffritto toscano with olives.

Another hotel restaurant that is actually very good. There are nice cocktails. I highly recommend the tuna crudo. The restaurant has a spacious feeling. Portions can seem somewhat small for things like pasta. Staff are friendly. This restaurant might be appropriate for graduation or celebratory dinners.
