Thank you all for the great hospitality, great food, and the elusive chemistry that makes dining chez Benedetto so special.

I can't recommend this place for take-out. I placed an order online, and was told the meal would be ready for pick-up in 45 minutes. I showed up after an hour, and my order was not ready. It appeared that my order had been never started, and the staff apologized and asked me to wait while they made my meal. I was not offered any discount for this inconvenience. Despite the poor take-out experience, the food itself was delicious, though portions were very small. The best part of the meal was the coffee cheesecake!

Dinner for 5 at Benedetto last night. Every single part of the meal was delicious, perfectly prepared. We were served by knowledgeable and gracious waitstaff who could answer any question. ( It was so spacious and with only a few diners, we felt completely safe. Staff were masked and careful to preserve safety.) We will be eager to go back for any occasion that merits a classy meal accompanied by intriguing cocktails and wine expertly curated. From starters to desserts, we savored every bite. Definitely worth the cost.

We stayed at the Charles and had a wonderful dinner at Benedetto. The staff could not have been better about social distancing. The courtyard was delightful to sit in. And the food was exquisite. We had the chicken liver mousse with cranberry marmellata and the Robiola bosina cheese with chicory & rose jam, almond, concord grape and sourdough to start. And then followed that with two pasts dishes - the spaghetti alla chitarra with head on blue prawns, fennel, garlic and fresh chili, and the Strozzapreti with san marzano tomato, house cured pork belly and pecorino. All the dishes were perfection - could not recommend them highly enough. Though my guess is that you could not go wrong with anything on the menu. And accompanied by some interesting and lesser known Italian wines by the glass. Worth every penny.

While I understand the need to wear a mask it was a little unnerving to have to put it on every single time the waiter, busboy, sommelier, etc. approached the table, per their policy. No other restaurant requires such protocol and it put us on guard the entire evening because the minute I saw a staff member out of the corner of my eye I had to fumble to dig my mask out of my handbag and quickly don.

Mix of classics and unique fare. All prepared excellently.

Service was at a 12 foot distance. Every question, order or request was only permitted when guests put their masks on again while seated at the table, even when food and or beverages already had been served. As a result, our party of 3 was constantly having to take masks on and off. Made for an awful dining experience. Will never go back here.

Very enjoyable dinner, excellent food inspired by traditional Italian cuisine. Interesting finds on the wine list. Service was understandably a bit aloof due to Covid-19 restrictions.

I have traditionally really liked Benedetto. But the menu has gotten very esoteric and a bit weird, and the service to start was atrocious. The first waiter had a unbelievably rude attitude and was so argumentative that before we even ordered a drink or looked at the menu I had to ask for a manager to get us a different waiter. The next one was terrific. I spoke to the owner, I'm not sure he gets it.

Fantastic, creative food, well trained staff, great distancing and COVID protections. I can't say enough good things. The food is consistently fresh, local and interesting. We sat on the patio which was beautiful. It was a warm night and I understand they have heat lamps for when it gets colder. We throughly our enjoyed our night out and will go back!

Horrible. We were seated between two poor quality huge mirrors, so there was no escaping looking at a fat version of yourself. Not a great way to enjoy a meal. There was no gluten free bread, but they did have Glutino crackers. There were extremely limited options that were both gluten free and had a protein (not vegetarian). I think there were two options. I chose sea bass with gigante beans. The bass was good, but the beans were huge and WAY undercooked. They were literally crunchy still. There were very very few vegetables in it. All in all the dish was pretty terrible. The portions for everyone were very small also. We all left still hungry. This restaurant is a terrible choice for anyone non-vegetarian who is gluten sensitive.

The food is fantastic. Both the Head Chef and the Pastry Chef are artists and live up to their reputations. Beautiful plating, fun concepts and seasonal flavors.

This was a Covid dinner indoors-a little weird. Staff was somewhat standoffish, both literally and figuratively. With the limited menu and limited guests, we expected more attention and faster service than we got. Much better experience at Henrietta's Table .

The outdoor seating is lovely and quiet. the menu is smaller than before pandemic, but that's to be expected. Service is outstandingly polite, helpful yet unobtrusive. We will come again soon.
