Brick & Mortar is an absolute gem nestled in the heart of Cambridge! From the moment you step in, you're enveloped in an atmosphere of warmth and sophistication. The ambiance is unparalleled, with cozy seating arrangements and just the right lighting to set the mood. The service here is top-notch, with staff who are attentive, knowledgeable, and always ready with a smile. Whether you're a cocktail connoisseur or a novice, they make you feel right at home.I had the pleasure of trying their golden banana cocktail, and it was simply divine! Each sip was a burst of flavor, perfectly balanced and expertly crafted. And let's not forget about the food – it's delicious! From small bites to more substantial dishes, there's something to satisfy every palate.Overall, Brick & Mortar gets a resounding 100% recommendation from me. If you're in the mood for a fantastic drink and a memorable experience, look no further than this charming spot in Central Square. You won't be disappointed!

A quaint speakeasy place with nice drinks. Good for people watching - the number of awkward dates here is astonishing. May be loud on a weekend night. But it is the last nice bar to stay open in Central.Bar food is tasty, deviled eggs are amazing!

We went last night after an early dinner so we didn't eat any of the small plates that they offer. The drinks were very good and we liked the atmosphere. We managed to get the last two empty seats at the end of the bar. We were there fairly early too; got there around 7.My only complaint is that I saw only two gender neutral restrooms. Always 2 or more people waiting in line every time I had to go. Not a big deal for most people. That being my only complaint I will say that, yes, I will go back because it was worth it!

Sent us to a stand by line, by the time we finished our drinks everyone else after us got their seats. Don’t know how this waiting system works. Hope you are not us. The drink is okay.

The bartenders here are outstanding! The service is not equally great. The atmosphere makes this one of my favorite cocktail destinations in Cambridge and Boston. The only downside is that there really isn't much in the way of food options. Great date night destination!

Awesome upstairs speakeasy style cocktail bar with a few apps. Gold rush, What's up pussycat, and Apollo Sundhine were fire. The boothby was bitter for my taste. Queso fondido with house chips and deviled eggs were great too. Service was quick and friendly. Look forward to trying other drinks.

I've been lucky enough to experience Brick and Mortar twice, and each time was an excellent experience! The staff is attentive and friendly and drinks are delicious. If you can, sit at the bar so you can see the cocktails being made- it's a true work of art. I recommend the "what's new pussycat?", especially if you are a lychee martini fan!

This was my second time visiting brick and mortar. Was visiting Boston with some friends from New York. I had lived in Boston last summer and found this place and loved it. The atmosphere & the cocktails are fantastic, perfect for a night out with friends or for a date. The bartenders are fantastic at what they do, there is not one drink on the menu that won’t be great. We were quite disappointed with our service this night though. It took quite a bit of time for a bartender to come over and ask us about the drink options, and what we were ordering. It was very busy, but we were very close to the bar and we were not serviced timely at all. We ordered some food, but the kitchen had closed… Quite a bit of time went by before the bartender finally came back to us and let us know that the kitchen had closed and that they were not able to submit our order after all. Disappointing. And,the bartender did not check on us often. Ultimately, our cocktails were great and we had a great time. It was very loud, so it was challenging to hear one another, and we decided to leave. I like brick-and-mortar for the environment and the quality cocktails, but the service could’ve been much better. I have sat directly at the bar in the past, and the service has never been bad there. We were at a table adjacent from the bar in the corner, it was not as pleasant as the other times I have been to this location. Looking forward to better service next time!

A superb quasi-speakeasy with truly excellent cocktails and food, perfectly curated music , beautiful environment , and extremely friendly and attentive service .Right in the heart of central square, but easy to miss bc if its purposefully modest entrance , this is a must- hit spot.Recommended to me and cannot recommend highly enough .

I had the pleasure of visiting Brick & Mortar for the first time this past Saturday evening around 7 PM, and I must say, it was an experience worth sharing. From the moment I walked in, the welcoming lady at the front desk promptly seated me, ensuring a smooth start to my evening. One unique aspect of Brick & Mortar is their communal seating arrangement, where guests share tables with others. Initially, I was a bit apprehensive about this setup, but as the night unfolded, I found myself embracing the social atmosphere. The ambiance of Brick & Mortar is nothing short of exceptional. The carefully curated space exuded a delightful vibe that complemented the overall experience. I must commend the attentive server who catered to our needs throughout the evening. Their impeccable service ensured that we felt well taken care of, enhancing our overall enjoyment of the evening. As for the drinks, I opted for the Apollo Sunshine, and it was an absolute delight. The blend of flavors was exquisite, leaving me with zero complaints. Although I cannot comment on the food since my visit focused solely on drinks. In summary, my visit to Brick & Mortar was a delightful affair. The warm hospitality, inviting ambiance, and exceptional service left a lasting impression on me.
