Great food and the service was quick and nice. We got the lemon ricotta pancakes and banana and pecan waffles. Definitely make a reservation though!

The food here is excellent. The lemon ricotta pancakes were such a treat. The iced coffee was also very good which I feel is rare for a sit down restaurant. We didn’t have any mimosas or cocktails but they looked just as great as everything else. The staff is exceptionally kind. You don’t have one server for your whole meal, but it somehow works. They explain everything and are so very thoughtful.
My only complaint was the atmosphere. If you don’t like busy or loud places, don’t come for brunch. It was hard to hear the person next to you or across from you. The tables for two are very small and servers have to get into your personal space to talk to the table next to you. They don’t fit the basket of silverware and napkins they give you. I watched that fall on the floor for people. It felt very tight and cramped. The silverware was also sticky. Our neighbors had the same issue. They appeared clean but there was some residue on them that caused the napkin to get stuck to the fork.

This review is about poor pick-up service, irresponsive staff, disrespect towards customer’s time, and not delivering what was ordered.
We are frequent visitors at Cafe Luna and have dined-in and picked up orders frequently in the last 2-3 years. We love the food and the servers are extremely nice. However, we have found the host/staff at check-in to be cold on many occasions and at times treating us differently than other customers. But we tend to avoid focusing on this aspect as we love the food.
However, today we placed an order through Toast app at 9.23am which was supposed to be ready for pick up at 9.38am. We reached there at 9.39am and only got our order at 10.04am. Despite checking in multiple times at the check in desk we weren’t given the true status of our order. They kept asking for us to wait for 2 mins when in reality it took them nearly 25 mins to hand over the order with no sense of apology or respect towards our time. On top of it, when we opened the order at home, we realized that every item we had ordered was not customized to what we had asked and paid for. We called multiple times but were kept on hold forever.
We understand the place can be busy but expected more respect towards our time and money. We really hope that we get the refund for what we didn’t receive. Needless to say, we will think several times before coming to Cafe Luna which once used to be our staple.

Sooo it was raining quite hard the day I visited and I am glad that Cafe Luna was open for reservations on Resy. What a nice cafe/resturant with some great options! We went for brunch and was amazed at the sweet, savory, and salad options available. I highly recommend you visit sometime in the near future if you havent already. Plus its quite fun to see the unqiue characteristics of each cafe in Cambridge~!

They told us the wait would be 20-25 min. Waited an hour and left, people with reservations in front of us even waited, they didn’t have tables so what’s the point of a reservation? They need to be more organized and do better. Just save your money and go to a different cafe
Amazing

I very rarely post reviews, but this was outstanding. Coffee, food and service all above and beyond. A real delight in my trip to Boston.

I was so excited to have brunch here with my mom, but the experience was awful. The host (an older gentleman) was extremely rude and condescending. Our waiter (man with glasses) ignored us until we flagged him down and acted annoyed when we asked for something as simple as salt. The food looked really nice but was so so bland and flavorless. I always tip, but the service was so poor it didn’t feel right. When the bill came, the waiter even pointed out that I hadn’t tipped yet and stood in our way until I did. Truly disappointing experience.

I had really high hopes before coming here, but after my first bite, all my hopes were dashed.
We ordered the corned beef hash omelette with home fries. It was bland and flavorless, like not even a hint of salt or pepper. I’m not sure if it’s a Boston thing, or if no one knows how to season food so it tastes better. The same thing goes to the strawberries and chocolate French toast. They were flavorless and way too sweet that we couldn’t finish.
On the bright side, the coffee was pretty good, and the service was friendly.
In the end, it was a disappointing dining experience, and it’s not worth the hype. Don’t let the hype fool you; the food here is below average. There are better places to have breakfast or brunch in the city.

We had an awesome time here,
the service was top-notch and super friendly! The menu is huge, but I eventually locked in on the loaded Mexican brunch bowl with extra eggs and it did not disappoint. The potatoes could’ve used a little more salty, but a side of hot sauce brought them to life!
Everyone else at the table couldn’t stop raving about the Mexican street corn omelette. As for the Cookie Monster pancakes… honestly, they were just okay. I’d save the calories for something more exciting when I return (ideally the churro French toast)

I went here on Saturday, service and food was great. I can tell that my server loved her job; she was very nice and explained the menu items to me and gave me a recommendation based on what I liked. Unfortunately I didn’t catch her name. It got busy pretty quick so I’d definitely recommend, a reservation.

Cafe Luna is a fantastic spot for brunch, especially on a sunny day! The food is delicious — I had the Steak BLT, and the house fries were amazing as well. The Mocha Latte with a quad shot was refreshing and full of flavor.
The atmosphere is bright, warm, and inviting, perfect for enjoying the sun. The staff are welcoming, sweet, and attentive, making the experience even better.
Highly recommend Cafe Luna for great food, coffee, and a sunny brunch vibe!

When we craved for the familiar breakfast/brunch food, we come to Cafe Luna. We can always count on decent food and efficient service. Wait staff is friendly. Food comes out really fast and the portions are generous. Food and drinks are not great but good in general to please the crowd.
The hibiscus tea punch is one of my favorite not too sweet mocktail. Corn beef hash and eggs with home fries and the lemon ricotta pancakes are solid.
The place is always packed for weekend brunch so it gets very loud, making it difficult to carry on a conversation. But, it does have a fun vibe with mostly a younger crowd. This is a great neighborhood cafe. Place is dated but there aren't many of this type of restaurants around any more where prices are not crazy and has decent food.
