Fantastic ice cream spot in Cambridge, definitely worth a detour.
I’m still on my quest to find the best ice cream in Boston, so I had to try Christina’s.
The staff were very nice and let me try several flavours. I ended up choosing the salted caramel and the sorghum ginger snap.
The sorghum ginger snap was the star of the show. It’s basically a ginger bread flavour ice cream, I’ve never had anything like it. Not too sweet, super decadent. Probably the 2nd best scoop of ice cream I’ve had in Boston so far.
Salted caramel was also very nice, but could have been more rich and with a more intense. Still delicious, but not at the same level as the sorghum ginger snap which was exceptional.
Overall, would definitely recommend Christina’s. Make sure you take the Sorghum Ginger Snap, trust me on this one.
The ice cream was very good—great flavor and quality. The price was a bit on the higher side, but honestly, it felt worth it. If you’re looking to treat yourself, this place won’t disappoint.
Coffee cookies and cream!!! Still slaps after 14 years.
This is a weird one. I had to knock off a star because of the bait and switch that happened.
The ice cream I tried on my spoon was smooth and fresh and then I think the guy switched out one of my two scoops of ginger ice cream with older stuff as a scoop literally had sheets of ice in it I had so spit out and was not that smooth. The flavor was there, but not the same, more muted than what I had on the taster spoon for one of the scoops. Not okay. I got 3 scoops total.
Ginger Ice Cream: Flavorful! Tastes like ginger without being overpowering or burning the mouth. Verdict: EAT THIS- JUST MAKE SURE THEY GIVE YOU THE NEW STUFF.
Cardamom: Crisp, silky, not gritty at all. Verdict: LOVE THIS- EAT THIS, especially paired with the ginger Ice Cream.
Verdict: EAT HERE, BUT MAKE SURE THEY DONT GIVE YOU OLD STUFF.
Very nice 👍 and not too sweet
I got one scoop of chocolate pot au creme and one baileys Irish cream for $7. The flavor was ok but the texture was pretty bad because it was quite grainy and crunchy. Samples not allowed.
BEST ICE CREAM EVER. I moved away from Cambridge to Columbus, Ohio, the home of the famous Jeni’s ice cream, which has a similar boutique specialized flavor. jeni is is fine, but I was so excited to get back to Cambridge recently and have Cristina’s again and confirm that it’s not inaccurate memories, it really is just so superior to any other ice cream ever! The sister spice shop, which has moved a block down but used to be connected, is also a delight and inspires some of the flavors that they make

Christina is an ice cream shop my husband and I deeply love. It always has the most unique flavors and best prices in town. We bring all our friends and family who are visiting to Christina. This week, we were getting married in Cambridge and we took our guests to Christina for some ice cream. The store person, a friendly lady, noticed it and gave me a pint of ice cream afterwards. It was super nice of her! We went home and opened the lid and found out that she gave me a pint of the ice cream I ordered! She remembered my order and gave me a pint of that flavor. We’re so touched and would def recommend anyone who wanted to get ice cream near Boston/ Cambridge area. Christina is the best!

From the flavor variety to the kind and extremely patient staff, this small business is a must for all ice cream lovers!
This visit we tried the cardamom kulfi, the cholcolat pot au creme, the bitter sweet chocolate, the ginger molasses, and the burnt sugar, and they were all amazing!!! I especially recommend the cadamom kulfi!

The Boston area is blessed with lots of great, independent ice cream places, and Christina's is our favorite. We've been going there since we moved to the area in 2002 and you can't beat their wide selection of interesting flavors.

Amazing ice cream, great Indian flavors
Homemade ice cream! Better than store bought and awesome ways to taste different flavors. I got the Dulce de Leche and Green Tea in a medium cup!

The store was damp and hot, and you could smell an unpleasant odor. The ice cream was mediocre at best, and the service was just horrible.

I was hoping to try the carrot cake flavor based on the great reviews, but unfortunately, they were out of stock. Instead, we got the toasted almonds and strawberry flavors. The toasted almonds was too sweet for my liking and lacked creaminess, while the strawberry flavor was just okay—nothing special. The place has an odd smell and seems dated. And why don't ice cream stores use gloves? The same was true at JP Licks. Overall, I was a bit disappointed with the experience.
