Really charming small spot with wonderful staff. Came in the other night and sat at the bar which is reserved for walk-ins. They recommended the duck soup which was perfect. My nephew had a great vegan meal. Reserve a spot or get there early.

This place is amazing but I’m **HEARTBROKEN*** you can’t use laptops there anymore during the week with a coffee/snack and then lunch after. I hope the owner reconsiders this policy for at least a few days of the week. (E.g. I just went in and it was EMPTY). It was my favorite place to work as a once in awhile treat. I probably won’t be going nearly as frequently

My go-to spot for a nice night out that won’t break the bank! Cicada serves coffee in the morning and converts into a restaurant in the evening, and both are spectacular. Weekends tend to get busy, so definitely make a reservation. It can sometimes get a bit loud because seating is close together, but I think this adds a lot to the charm of the restaurant.

The food was good but as someone who previously worked in food I don't think it's appropriate to serve blatantly chipped dishware. It's a health hazard both as porcelain is sharp but also becomes nonporous and can't be properly cleaned.
It was also a bummer because when they took our plates away and I mentioned the chip, they came back and simply left the portable checkout terminal on the table, (a) not asking us about dessert or anything else (even though we'd only been there for less than an hour) and (b) having bypassed the itemized receipt so we didn't know what was included (we guessed correctly that tip was not included).
Given that the food was pretty reasonably priced I'm not upset about it. I do think it would be better to visit during the day when it's a cafe.
Also note that they don't have any warm beverages available on their dinner menu, even though they are a cafe during the day.

I would like to send a sincere thanks to the owners and staff who accommodated my reservation for a large group. We were there to celebrate a friend's birthday, and the staff made it such a wonderful experience. We ordered one of every entree and small bite on the menu, and everything was delicious. Our favorites were definitely the duck tartare, red wine short rib, salmon spring rolls, and salmon tartare. All the dishes were flavorful and unique. Thanks for making my friend's birthday a memorable experience.

We love going to Cicada and supporting local businesses! They have great coffee, my favorite is the Sea Salt shaker with one of their cookies. They have amazing Banh Mi sandwich. Nice and cozy with a patio in the back. I highly recommend stopping in for a quick coffee or for lunch.
Delicious! Limited menu but really great food. The interior is so cute, such a good date spot. The restaurant is pretty small, so I recommend making a reservation if you want to come during the weekend.

I was really disappointed with my dining experience. During the meal, I kept seeing mice running around — at least five times throughout my visit. It was very uncomfortable and made it hard to enjoy the food. The environment didn’t feel clean or well-maintained. I hope the restaurant can seriously improve its hygiene and pest control.
