A must-try if you’re in Central with a couple of friends
Best meal ever
Came here with my roommate for dinner, and it was FANTASTIC! We got the spinach and ricotta appetizer, and veggie combo and kitfo for entrees. This was plenty of food for two people, and allowed a great sampling of all the different veggie dishes! Everything was so delicious, I loved every bite. Dining at Asmara with a group is enjoyable, and the servers make excellent recommendations. The Kitfo, a raw beef dish, is a must-try—delicious and not at all like raw beef. The Asmara Tibsy has good flavor but can be a bit tough. The Atkilt, a vegetable dish, along with the salad, offers a refreshing balance to the meat dishes. The food is suitable for most palates, with little to no spiciness, and vegetarian options include lentil, collard, and barley crepe dishes. The staff is welcoming and answers any questions, making it a great place for group dinners. The food was delicious, the service was prompt, and there was an overall relaxed and comfortable atmosphere. Visitors especially loved the spicy sauce and lentils, homemade honey wine, and spiced tea, finding it worth the trip. The service is very friendly, and the food came out relatively fast. The fish and shrimp were big hits with families. Many visitors find themselves returning often, drawn by the delicious food and warm atmosphere.
