One of my favorite places in Boston & Cambridge: good coffee, excellent food, and pleasant ambiance. In warmer times, the back yard is very pleasant. It's very popular though, so snatching a seat can be difficult. Oh, and lately it doesn't offer takeout
We had great ? pastries and I enjoyed my pho spiced cold brew. Very interesting selection of drinks.

In my opinion it should be very easy to cook noodles. They served up a bowl of mushy broken up noodles. It was honestly super disappointing. I think the coffee is probably good? They also get their pastries from somewhere else. I'd say the only good thing was the spicy pickled radishes and the quality of the fish. But for a noodle dish the noodles should really pop and they did not sadly. Enjoyed the eclectic atmosphere.

Such an interesting concept and a very solid meal! We were initially seated at the counter, which is a bit tight, but when a high top table opened up they so graciously moved us to have more space. Our servers were friendly, fast, and knowledgable, but it was odd having to bus your own table after the meal for what it costs. Not a dealbreaker, though. Everything we ordered was flavorful, well cooked, and fresh. But our absolute favorite dish of the night was the duck. So so yummy. While we were there the owner even popped in with his dog, which was just awesome! Highly recommend Cicada for dinner. We're already excited to come back to try coffee and lunch!

Once you order you bus your own tables. But the staff are always so friendly and its a great vibe. The vegetarian options are incredible too
I had very high hopes from this place given that it repeatedly shows up in Boston eater, the lines are super long especially on weekends and the vibes look fun. That said, the food here is average at best. I had the salmon bahn-mi and it was dry and underseasoned, and quite frankly, bland. The coffees are usually great but with so many great coffee shops in the area, I don't think I'd come here especially for that. They do have good baked items but they source them from Cafe Beatrice - so full marks for sourcing well, but none for making good food themselves.

A decent bánh mì, but they don't use real pâté and it's $17! The bún trọn is a bit better. Everything is a little too white-washed and overpriced for me. They did a better job with The Eaves.

This is the first time I've been to Cicada. Though I'm a coffee enthusiast, this is only the second time I've had Vietnamese coffee, and Cicada's coffee was delicious. Mildly sweet and velvety foam.Atmosphere was bright, calm, with upbeat music. Plenty of seats from 8-11 but could tell the lunch rush was picking up. Did not see outlets at first glance. Will be coming back for more!

Had the sea salt shaker and cicada latte. Both were pretty decent.

This is a gem of a place! One of the best coffees I've had, the rare coffee that actually deserves its price tag. Recommend the Sài Gòn (Hot) and the Sea Salt Shaker.

Enjoyed the coffee though the salt version was too strong.

One of my favorite coffee shops in Cambridge - love the vibes, their sea salt shaker is my all time favorite (so smooth and the hint of salt dulls the bitterness and brings out the sweetness so well).

Always lovely, the condensation that accrues on the windows is one of my favorite small things.
