We always loved Flour. This time I ordered a Tuna Melt sandwich. It tasted super sour, and I barely tasted anything else. Then on the next day I felt a little sick. I think the tuna might be not fresh.
Enjoyed the avocado toast, the warm welcome and the nice place.
Bakery items obviously taste great, that’s the ONLY reason people keep coming here not for the atmosphere or service. The service is seriously lacking so if their food starts to slip in quality this place will not make it in this economy. I don’t expect anyone to hand me anything with a smile on their face and do a dance but at least do the job right and be conscious about your customers. Got a small ice black cold brew this morning takes about a second to make, and my order must've slipped through, that’s not where I have the problem because it happens. But if you see someone waiting for 15 minutes maybe don’t keep taking the orders of 10+ people in line and stop and ask them what they are waiting for. “Barista’s” also take their sweet time here, which I get this isn’t exactly a Dunkin either, but Flour’s coffee is sub-par so if you’re willing to wait 15 minutes for mediocre coffee, go for it. This isn’t my only instance here as I come here frequently, and I know what you’re thinking; why keep going if it’s so bad? Because this is close to my work and I just need espresso that isn’t some crappy packet coffee they offer at the office. For anyone who’s never been, I would only come for the bakery items as it’s a direct and quick transaction, and they all taste good. Get a good coffee at Mariposa up the street, they have house-made flavors and incredible service. Also let me be clear the service people are never rude or mean, they either just don’t care or are incompetent to do their job efficiently.
In my opinion, this is the best café for MIT students—whether you’re looking to study, work, chat with friends, or just relax. The atmosphere is cozy and welcoming, with plenty of seating, good Wi-Fi, and great coffee and snacks. It’s the ideal spot to be productive or unwind between classes!
When I ordered the side “smoked salmon fillet” I thought I would get a couple of smoked salmon slices. Instead I got a smoked - salmon fillet… I think the avocado toast would go better with smoked salmon, not salmon fillet.
Excellent food, good value. Seating is limited but we got lucky and were able to sit inside on a hot day.
Just ate the best double chocolate walnut cookie. It was $3.50 which is pricey and convincing myself the price justified the goodness…and it did.
Also ordered a mocha. Didn’t disappoint. Easy to get to off Mass Ave. nice place. You will like it too.

The food is good, and the pastries are delicious, but the prices just aren't worth it compared to other options in Central Square. Just about any meal costs at least a bit more than it would elsewhere without any corresponding increase in quality or portion size, which makes it difficult to recommend Flour for anything but their pastries.
I *do* appreciate their system is fairly accommodating with substitutions for dietary restrictions!

Good catch for a quick breakfast in Cambridge. Un pain Chocolate and Cappuccino. The pastry is really good, rich in dark chocolate and so soft with butter that just melt away from the very first bite. Remember to ask for warming though. I didn’t get a right cappuccino I ordered, because it’s felt like a latter. Coffee flavor and foam of milk are both not on point. And I really wish this could serve in a cup since I was dined in. But the pastry and ambience can totally beat this!

Everything is always good. Lines are long, but that’s expected when you’re one of the few good bakeries in the city. Recommend the house raspberry seltzer, chicken salad sandwich, and all of their cookies.
