Gustazo Cuban Kitchen & Bar - Cambridge

The food was so salty that it was not enjoyable and I like salt. It was very loud and hard to hear my companions and in the end it was very expensive. We had a very long wait for our apps and then were told it was last call for drinks and dessert before our entrees arrived. We packed our entrees up to eat during the week if we can figure out how to make them less salty. Not for us but glad we tried.

Service was incredibly slow. We waited 30-40 minutes for our first tapa, and then another 30 minutes for the next. I am not sure if this is how the service is here always or just this one night but it was awful. It seemed like we weren't the only ones. The place was packed but food was barely coming out of the kitchen.

Great food, however it took an absurdly long amount of time for food to arrive, and then everything came at once. Passing could have been better.

The tase of the food was amazing , but portions are very small. Even a dinner is a tapas appetizer. The drinks were good too. But $15 for a margarita is stupid. $8 is reasonable
The service was tops and quickly. Friendly and kind, but language barrier. Is an issue. I spoke English and Spanish and no one understands anything? I’ve had much better in oriental de Cuba, which is NO LONGER in JP.

Food was small portioned and overpriced. We had stomachaches after we came home, I think the food was not clean.
There was also a 4% kitchen gratitude charge which was not included in the tips (we had only two people). This seems like a scam to me. Shouldn’t tips be distributed between all staff members? Customers should not be paying for uneven tip distribution and management issues.

I just had the most delicious Cuban food ever. The pork on arroz congris was excellent (l grew up eating Cuban food-this dish exceded my expectations! 10 stars) I totally recommend Gustazo!

This was the best meal (and the most pleasant dining experience) we've had in Boston (we live here) in years.

The food was very good, and so was the service despite the crowding (Saturday night).
A good place to be adventurous - lots of tapas (aka small dishes) to combine into a meal. Bring friends!

Nice setting but...Our party of 4 ordered 10 tapas dishes. Even for tapas, some portions were very small and overpriced. Two out of the 10 were very good, and the other 8 dishes were not memorable. Maybe they are short staffed, but the service was very poor. One member of our party ordered their drink with the food order. The others hadn't decided on their drinks yet. We were never asked for the other drink orders throughout the entire year. Our waiter never came by to ask if we wanted anything else, food or drink. I would not go back.

The food, atmosphere and customer service is top tier. It was worth every penny. The food feels like your abuela is in the back cooking with love. The presentation is chic and luxurious. It feels like you were transported to Cuba. You greeted as soon as you walk in and the waitress and waiters go above and beyond to make sure you’re okay. This has to be on my top 5 places to eat in Cambridge. I wish I knew about this place before I graduate. I will be back. The ropa vieja is so good. It’s a traditional dish.

Juan, our server, took great care of us. The food was incredible. We'll be going back and bringing friends.

Over good experience it was our second time back. The food came out a bit salty and we were seated outside in the patio but the lights never turned on. Our wait time between ordering drinks and food was a bit long. I would still recommend and will be coming back.
