After having a quick bite from up the street, I decided I wanted to satisfy my ice cream craving. This was my first time trying Honeycomb creamery and man, oh man, this place did not disappoint. I wanted to try a flavor first, before ordering, but quickly learned they do not do samples. I decided to go with what the worker who was helping me suggested, and I definitely left this place a happy lady! I got a small size in a cup, with a matcha cone of one scoop honey lavender and one scoop of caramel crackle. I have never tried honey lavender flavor in an ice cream and was interested due to all the reviews. The honey lavender was good, but not my cup of tea... the star of the show for me was the salted caramel crackle! The mango sorbet was also delicious, by the way! They also offer other treats such as cookies and brownies. We went on a Tuesday and I was super intrigued by the Tuesday Taco special but decided to just get a small size first to try. Honeycomb creamery, I will most definitely be coming back soon :)

I ordered a Thai tea with a small size, but later found out I could mix up to two flavors in one cup. Not knowing the store well, I asked the staff for recommendations, specifying that I prefer less sweet flavors. He suggested the orange and mango combo, which turned out to be amazing, even better than what I initially chose! Plus, it wasn't too pricey.Overall, it's hands down the best ice cream shop I've ever been to.

One of my favorite ice cream shops to visit during my college days, Honeycomb's rotation of new flavors always gives me a reason to come back! This time I tried the Peppermint Crisp Tart with the Milk Chocolate Stracciatella in a small cup. They don't offer samples anymore, but you honestly can't go wrong with any of the flavors. The space is bright and colorful, and a lovely place to enjoy your treat!

I was really excited to try Honeycomb, as I am very passionate about ice cream and this looked right up my alley! Unfortunately I was left disappointed with my experience due to the customer service. There are no samples offered, which I can understand as they seem to be a small-batch operation, but there also aren’t any descriptions of the flavors on the menu in the store. Most of the flavors are self-explanatory, so I can also understand not feeling the need to put descriptions up. However, when I asked an employee what was in the “birthday cake” flavor, he just said it had chocolate truffles and sprinkles in it. I asked whether the ice cream base was cake-flavored, and he said yes. When I received the ice cream, I found that it was not cake-flavored at all, but rather plain vanilla. When I looked up the menu online to verify, I noticed it also is described as having a chocolate marshmallow buttercream, which the employee also didn’t mention. I feel that if there are no samples, and no descriptions on the menu, then the employees should be prepared to describe each flavor. “Birthday cake” generally brings to mind a funfetti-type flavor, so I was surprised that there was nothing “cake” about it. It’s one of Honeycomb’s “classic” flavors and the first item on the menu, so I do feel that the employee should have known what was in it, especially since I couldn’t sample it first. You’re kind of just blind-buying at that point.Overall, it felt like we were inconveniencing the employees just by being there. We were not welcomed in, or thanked on the way out, and when more people came in after us, I heard one of the employees say, “ugh more people.” It is worth mentioning that the shop was not particularly busy at the time; there were maybe 8 people eating their ice cream (including me and my husband) and a couple additional people in line.I enjoyed my ice cream and I do feel that the flavors are unique, but unfortunately I felt unwelcome. I thought about getting a pint to-go but I didn’t want to bother the employees by going up to the counter again. I think maybe if customer service is not important to you, or if you set your expectations accordingly (I was expecting Salt & Straw—type customer service, where they let you try as many flavors as you want and are super kind and friendly!), then it’s worth giving a shot, because I do think the ice cream was very good! I just won’t be rushing back any time soon.

Honeycomb has been our long time local favorites and we come here throughout the year to try their seasonal flavors. We’re typically greeted with generous portions but today we had a surprisingly disappointing experience. My boyfriend and I both got a small cup. Served by two different staff, I noticed the staff who was serving my cup was weighing the cup and scooping ice cream out of my cup (odd). And when I received mine I immediately noticed how small the portion was compared to my boyfriend’s or the usual portions we’d get. Left in the picture was mine (you can see the scoop out marks and I haven’t even touched it), while my bf’s was on the right and he’s been eating it for a while already. I asked the staff about it and he just shrugged and said that he’s new and they’re training him to weigh the cups and that mine was actually “overweight”. Even after showing him the obvious difference between our portions he didn’t offer any resolution. I’m not sure if this was just an unfortunate circumstance of a poorly trained new employee or if they’re actually asking staff to weigh their cups from now on. Honeycomb was in no way inexpensive so it really wouldn’t be worth it for us to go anymore if they’re starting to not fill the cups. And who weighs ice cream anyways??

Best ice cream in the entire world. High quality, delicious, creamy and great texture. Flavors are special. "Taco" Tuesday specials are great. Go immediately!

This is an okay new-age ice cream shop like a Jeni’s or Van Leeuwen’s so if you like those places and are by Harvard or Porter Square, it’s as close as you’ll get. There isn’t a lot of seating and the line moves very slowly and inefficiently. The creamery has a very odd smell. I tried the blond cheesecake and strawberry rose gateau ice creams. There were just okay. It’s priced quite high for even a kiddie scoop. There are nice vegan options.

BEST ice cream I’ve ever had!! The salted caramel crackle is absolutely unbeatable! Not overly sweet but still has those delicious ribbons of caramel and honeycomb chunks. The vanilla waffle cone is insanely good!!! You have to try it when you go!! Rich, buttery, and pairs absolutely perfect with the salted caramel crackle ice cream. I recommend sizing up, the portion sizes are moderate. Great place!

Amazing ice cream, variety of flavors. A little pricey for me, but taco Tuesdays have become a must for me. They open until late and, lately, staff has been super helpful and nice (didn’t use to be)

They change the menu often and have creative flavors. Wish could try them more often but ice cream too often isn't too great for me :l.Their scoops are good size -- a double scoop is a good amount for 2 moderate human adults or 1 ice cream binger.
