How good could vegan rice bowls be? If you've never eaten here, you probably have no idea (spoiler alert: you won't want to go anywhere else after coming here). Avocado chocolate mousse is also great!

Life Alive in Cambridge has a relaxed, welcoming vibe and exceptional organic food. Everything is fresh and thoughtfully prepared — the soups are especially comforting on a chilly Boston day. I love eating on the lower level; it feels cozy and peaceful. A perfect spot to unwind and enjoy nourishing flavor.
Excellent coozy hang out spot, especially for after hours when the coffee shops have typically closed. Hang out downstairs, read a book, and listen to the T rumble gently by.
Music played included Odesza, so you know there's at least a slice of what you're looking for here.

This place is phenomenal! I usually go to the Lowell location but gave the Cambridge one a try cus I was around the corner. The staff was so kind and attentive, my meal was great and the vibe was relaxed. I had the ramen which looks a smidge crazy but pretty good lol.

If I could eat here everyday, every meal I would. It’s amazing! The quality of food is outstanding, you feel good eating it and the ingredients are all great. The place is super unique, lively and fun, the staff is friendly and helpful. The juices are incredible, especially the spicy green tonic! We tried chili garlic noodles, the adventurer and then roasted corn fritters with black bean bowl… all amazing! The portions are huge (like 2 meals worthy) and the prices cannot be beat. Anytime I’m in the area I’ll be there!

The smell in this cafe is warm and wonderful to all the senses. My meal was tasty. I ordered a breakfast sandwich in a pita bread with a side of avocado. It was much smaller than I expected but it hit the spot.

I had one of the most uncomfortable experiences I’ve ever had in a shop. As a Black customer, I walked in and immediately noticed how different the treatment was. Other people were greeted with smiles, small talk, and quick service. When it was my turn, the staff wouldn’t look at me, stayed silent, and acted like I was interrupting them just by being there.
I stood at the counter waiting while they deliberately served others first. When they finally decided to acknowledge me, it was with the coldest and most dismissive tone. It was humiliating and made me feel like I didn’t belong, simply because of my skin color.
This wasn’t a misunderstanding or a one-time slip in service. It was clear, intentional discrimination, and it left me disgusted. No customer should ever be made to feel that way.

Absolutely disgusting experience! This place shows serious racism against Asians. The staff completely ignored me when I walked in, kept a nasty look on their face, and refused to say a single word until I forced myself to ask questions. Even then, their tone was impatient and dismissive. Meanwhile, I saw them being friendly and welcoming to other non-Asian customers.
It was humiliating and made me feel extremely unwelcome. In a diverse city like Cambridge, it’s shocking to encounter such blatant discrimination. If you’re Asian, avoid this place at all costs!

Eclectic and vibrant cafe serving the freshest food. We were so glad to run into this establishment. Their menu had a variety of options from soups to bowls to quesadillas - worked very well for our diverse palettes.
