The restaurant was way understaffed with only two people working the bar and a handful of tables. The staff did a great job keeping up with the orders at the bar and tables. The food was great and the drinks were cold. Hopefully they get more help soon.

My group happened upon Meadhall as a matter of convenience when wandering Kendall Square and around MIT. Unassuming from the outside, the inside is fairly appealing as a corner gastropub. We were seated pretty quickly. I was surprised at how few people were inside, given we were there right around lunchtime... but I'll happily take a less crowded venue during the times of COVID-19. Dark and moody Cambridge gastropub. Probably darker than it needs to be for the architecture...the lighting was mote appropriate to a wood-lined Hobbit hole or old oil-lit library than a high-ceilinged gastropub. No meades on hand on the warmish rainy early autumn evening when I visited, but knowledgeable, friendly barstaff who were interested in giving as much opinion on the brews that were available as I was interested in asking for.
