After having Tallula on our list for the longest time, we finally made it—and on Valentine’s Day, no less. This is a great small place for delicious food, beautifully served. The emphasis is on quality, creative gourmet dishes, but not out of control. Portions are very reasonable. It’s not one of those places that produce exotic, show-off foam-food with little taste. Vegetable torte, soups, hamachi crudo, monkfish, cavatelli, campanelle are all superb. It’s unlike other Cambridge places on two counts: really friendly staff and no problem parking.
