Our server was amazing. Very friendly, informative and eager to ensure a great dining experience. The food tonight was a little “off”: the Jonah Crab fritters were good but not incredible as usual (I get them every season!) and the green goddess salad was warm and wilted, instead of crisp and crunchy, which a Goddess should always be. Sadly the desserts were limited due to soft serve machine issues. Was really anxious to try the maple cream dessert shake.
We love this restaurant. It is small and has a bar, so can be quite lively in the evening. But we were there this time for lunch at it was excellent. Not too loud, great food, and very helpful staff. The raw oysters are outstanding. We had the haddock sandwich, clam chowder, lobster bisque, and a smash burger which were all excellent. In the past I've loved the fish and chips, the mussels (starter), and the lobster roll.
We had a party of six and were seated in a very nice high-top booth. The appetizers and entrees were excellent and very delicious. The cocktails were also very good - and the bar service was excellent. All in all, the food was delicious and we all had a great meal. The only negatives: We all felt that the server assigned to our table was not very attentive and didn't check in on us very often.
