Good food, interesting decor with a bit of a taste that maybe not for everyone. Live music and vibe were great.

Amazing sushi and live music! Prices are very affordable. Service needs to improve awareness of the table, you always need to flag to get attention.

Visited this jazz and Asian restaurant for first time. Food was great with a wide selections of sushi, soups, and fusion dishes. The service was fast and very effective. The main addition was the four piece local jazz band. All four musicians were enjoyable to listen to and played a wide array of selections and styles.
Next time in Boston I will try to visit the Mad Monkfish again.
Enjoyed the wide mix of people. It's great how music bring people together.

I like the variety of maki rolls that this place has, but most of them are just mid. This place is still probably better than most other sushi places in Boston though.

Smoked salmon - tasted good, but didnt like the texture
Crazy roll - one of the better roles
Rising Sun - meh
C Jam Blues - meh
Jazz Fusion - okay
Monk's Dream - meh
Spider - okay
Spicy Lobster - mango in this wasnt good, but it was fine overall
Scorpion - my favorite roll
Idaho - meh
Scallion pancake - meh
Chicken Satay - some of the best chicken satay I've had anywhere
Banana roll - meh
Chocolate Lava Cake - good

Awesome sushi and one of the best places to see Jazz in Boston! Yoko Miwa’s version of John Lennon’s Jealous Guy is stunning and heartfelt.

Terrible service, left waiting in an empty restaurant for 15 mins, not welcoming towards kids and rude servers. Forced to give a tip and below average food. Definitely avoidable.
Excellent sushi and Thai spot in central square. Regularly has the best musicians in Boston performing live jazz. Perfect date night spot or place to grab get a drink to hear some music. Usually no cover. Omar is a killer bartender.

Fairly good sushi and many different options! The decorations are completely not what I expected coming into a sushi restaurant.
