“First visit today, although we live somewhat in the neighborhood and I am already kicking myself for not having got here sooner. Red tabbouleh spicing was very punchy and vivid. Allspice in the stuffed grape leaves make them worth coming back for, not something I think I've ever said about stuffed grape leaves before. Most unforgettable was the red lentil soup with its soft rich velvety texture over two or three layers of different delicious flavors. Great first impression, can't wait to go back, solid A leaning toward A+.“

“I’ve been driving by this place for months and finally stopped in this evening. Should have gone earlier!
I tried the iskender kabob plate. I’ve never had that dish before so I have no baseline, but it was tender meat in a delicious sauce served over bread cubes that soaked up all of the goodness — all with a side of yogurt. Amazing dish, I will return for more. Portion size was huge too. Tried the baklava for dessert, also excellent. Bonus, the person working behind the counter was super nice.
Will definitely head back to try many more things here.“

“Cold baklava is to die for. The pistachio taste and its combination with cold milky syrup was outstanding. Sugarbellies (Şekerpare) was a disappointment, did not feel like homemade, it was doughy. The burma baklava was okay but did not get the nut taste quite a lot. The tea was fresh and amazing. Unfortunately, baked goods, simit and pogaca was stale, not fresh.“

“I had an amazing experience at Anatolia Kebab House. The food was fresh, flavorful, and perfectly seasoned. The doner meat was tender and juicy, and the plate came with a great variety of sides—rice, grilled veggies, carrots, red cabbage, and bulgur, all tasting really good and balanced, Definitely one of the best kebab spots I’ve tried. I’ll be coming back for sure👌🏼“

“This place is superb. The food was delicious, fresh, tasty, VERY SUBSTANTIAL (one bowl will feed 3!) and a delight. The owner welcomed us with grace and kindness and told us that if it wasn't to our liking, he would make it right. We were gifted Rice Pudding (the cinnamon....oy vey!) and Baklava. Will be back every time I go to Mass General for treatment.“

“Best Turkish food in Boston and many U.S. cities. Must try! Especially their doner, iskender and lahmacun.
Edit on 1/6/2026:
We dined in here again on 01/03/2026. Unfortunately, this place was taken over and is not managed by Turks anymore. It lost its Turkish flavor. So sad… We had iskender, lahmacun, cig kofte and manti. Cig kofte was so overpowered by cumin. We did’t like it. The lahmacun was so different than the last time. The meat tasted completely different and the lahmacun bread was flaky. Didn’t like it either. The biggest warning sign was that the doner station was off when we walked in. A doner shop never turns off the doner station. The meat always rotates, cooks, and is cut. As a result of this, the iskenders were barely warm, the bread was not sauced enough and we were never asked if we want melted butter with the iskender. The meat of iskender also tasted different. So disappointing…
The manti was okay. We were happy that they did not changed the yogurt, but the manti was lumped and the portion size was reduced to me.
Overall, I don’t recommend this place anymore. I hope the previous owner opened a new restaurant and let us know where it is.“

“I’ve almost tried the whole menu at Halva Kabab and honestly, everything is so good. Every dish is fresh, flavorful, and perfectly seasoned. You can really taste the quality and authenticity in their food. The kebabs are juicy, the sides are delicious, and the desserts are amazing too.
Hands down the best Turkish place in Boston. Highly recommend if you’re craving real, authentic Turkish food!“

“Years ago, when I was a student in Boston, I met Osman in a Turkish restaurant. He was kind, hardworking, and always full of warmth. Seeing him now as the owner of this wonderful Turkish restaurant filled me with pride and gratitude. Osman’s hospitality, generosity, and genuine heart was into every detail of this place, from the warm welcome at the door to the last bite of dessert. And the food is absolutely phenomenal. Every dish has authentic flavors of Turkey, perfectly seasoned, beautifully presented, and made with love. From the tender kebabs to the fresh mezes and perfectly flaky baklava, it was a feast in every sense. You can feel the care and tradition in every bite. This restaurant isn’t just a place to eat; it’s a place to feel at home, to celebrate friendship, and to savor life. Thank you, Osman, for creating such a beautiful space. We’ll definitely be back! ❤️“
