my family and i have been coming here for 30 years. it's a cape staple and one of the few establishments there that still looks the same as it did when i was a kid. the chowder is some of the best around and the atmosphere is cozy and relaxed.

From the time we walked in we were very well taken care of . The hostess was point on on the wait time . We sat at the small bar while waiting and the bartender was so attentive even though he was non stop with drink orders. Our waitress, a local girl was great with menu descriptions , that we needed more of a description on . I had the best fish tacos I have ever had . They were fresh , perfectly fried fish in them and a slaw that was really nice.There were 5 of us and everyone was happy with their choice !

Awful experience. Horrible customer service. Pretentious venue with a big city attitude in small town Chatham, that caters to rich coked up Chads with a violent disposition. Not the welcoming public house that it used to be.

Stopped in with a party of 6, waited, waited, waited, waited, waited,waited, waited, continued to wait, no eye contact, not one employee acknowledged us. I get it, places are short on staff but when I ask one of their employees , how long is the wait, he ignored me. Finally, I said, " Will someone be able to seat us shortly, the same guy shrugged his shoulders and said you can go somewhere else if you want. ( and we sure did) Having worked in many restaurants in the past, I find his behavior and response unprofessional and rude. Really poor customer service. All someone had to do was give us eye contact and minimally say, "we'll be right with you". I won't be back, EVER! BTW, WHAT A DIFFERENCE ACROSS THE STREET AT THE GOOSE! WAAAY BETTER STAFF and ATMOSPHERE!
