About Populus Tapas & Bar Chelsea

Populus Tapas & Bar Chelsea is a place in general kinda nice with electrifying music that makes you want to dance. The food was delicious and very good prices, but the kitchen is very slow; food took more than 20 minutes even with less than 10 people, which is not normal for tapas and snacks. The bartenders were very nice and kind, all great looking, but drinks ordered were kind of bad. Classic drinks like a French martini were made incorrectly, and a white tea shot was served as a green tea shot (whiskey) instead of vodka or tequila, showing a lack of bartender skills. However, prices of the bar are awesome, with cocktails under $15. The server and atmosphere was awesome until a card was left in the booklet and used at places like 7/11 and McDonald’s after the server picked up the book. Another visit noted a different DJ was really bored, with three girls for every nine dudes, but it is a really nice place to hang out if a good DJ is on. At the Lynn location, a salad and Chicharrones came on platters the size to feed three people, not small tapas portions, and it wasn't cheap.
