Very old school, delicious. House wine not good, but everything else was charming. Note: looks like they close off the top floor in winter, and the first floor views are through the parking lot: still there but not as lovely.
When I was a child, my parents and I would take a yearly trip to the Mohawk Trail to view the spectacular fall foliage in the northwestern corner of our home state of Massachusetts. I always remember the Golden Eagle Restaurant being situated at the apex of the famous "hairpin turn" at the end of the Trail.
