“Went Christmas shopping about an hour north of home and did a search for pubs in the area to grab some lunch. Spruce Street Tavern popped up with good reviews so we decided to give it a try. Upon arriving I was ready to go somewhere else as it looked like a neighborhood hole in the wall, but then said, "It could be great" so we gave it a go. Well it was a hole in the wall, but in all the best ways! The bartender, Andy, and the customers at the bar "all neighborhood regulars" were so welcoming! The hubby and I immediately felt like part of the gang. The service was great, food delicious (we ordered wings and pizza) and we had a terrific time. We will most definitely be back the next time we're in the area! A hidden gem for sure!“

“We are regulars, and our server at the bar on Saturday night was great. She brought us menus and asked immediately if we wanted drinks. Submitted our drink order, and we had them within a minute or so. Placed our order for one burger and one entree. The bun on the bottom of the burger was greasy/soggy, but still a decent burger. The good: burgers, sweet potato fries, fish and chips, sandwiches, seafood dishes. Additional thoughts: Advise one of the female bartenders that she can't do shots or use her phone when she's supposed to be working. If you give a customer a drink in a broken glass, and if the lobster and asparagus is missing from a lobster and asparagus dish, don't apologize a dozen times. Buy the customer a drink or give them $5 off, especially if it's their birthday. Sweep or vacuum the floor when messy guests leave. Overall, Gazbar is a nice and welcoming place, and we will be back. -- Can't wait to see the band again!“

“As a former restaurant employee, I was very impressed with Shayne’s service and attention to detail. From the first sip to the final bill, he was there constantly checking in while tending to other patrons and his bar duties. Thanks for making our night that much more fun Shayne!I got Sweet & Spicy Thai Chicken Salad. Amazing. Spicy but not where it was unpleasant. One of the best salads I’ve had in a while. And the portion was huge.It was a little loud but it was packed when we arrive and then cleared out.“

“We were a party of 18 for a legacy luncheon. We booked the space which was off in a private area and when we arrived it was all set up, we had a wonderful server named June who was well aware of our group and the apps we had pre-ordered. Apps were delicious (guac & chips, spinach artichoke dip with pita). Best thing was we were given the opportunity to order off the all day menu individually or buffet when we booked the space. I decided to have everyone order off the menu. Meals came out within 20 minutes from our arrival and everyone was so happy with their meal. Of course, we had dessert and drinks and it was all fantastic! It was a very relaxing luncheon. The staff and food were great. The GM John was very helpful when booking the date. “I was hungry for something other than fast food at 11:30 PM. This place fit the bill and mozzarella sticks were great. They weren't the cheap nasty ones you normally find, and a generous portion of Parmesan cheese on top. I also ordered the shrimp basket which their house sauce was pretty awesome That came with french fries which were pretty good overall 4.5. I just rounded it up.! Both bartenders were attentive! Especially Jackson! he seem to be working his ass off!“

“Good ol fashion dive, an endangered species in this area. Where every single "bar" in the area charges you $15 for a cocktail and cut you off after three drinks, this place really deserves its title. Drinks, TV, pool tables, dartboard, peanuts and popcorn.“

“The service was great and the manager came to our table to say hello and to welcome us. We had burgers with chicken tenders, we were told they only cook the burgers one way, ours were dry and a little overcooked. Our bill was $75. with the tip.“

“Usually the food isn’t up to par but it was really good last night when I went, and I had the best server - I wish I asked for her name!! She had black hair and was super funny and sweet. I gave her a 50% tip. Awesome communication and the dishes we ordered were served hot and exactly what we asked for. The mocktail she made me was perfect.Kid-friendliness: Servers are really good with kids and inclusive with everyone.“
