The Neighborhood Tavern in Northborough is a popular neighborhood pub known for its good food, friendly service, and great beer selection. Visitors often praise the variety of beers, including excellent lagers, German styles, and IPAs, with a standout rotating specialty menu that surpasses other local breweries. The atmosphere is open and welcoming, making it a good place for casual gatherings. The food receives mixed reviews; some enjoy dishes like the clam chowder, rib eye, and tacos, while others find certain items like the fried chicken sandwich dry or the steak a bit thin with inedible edges. The rib appetizer and fries are generally well-liked. The staff are described as very accommodating, attentive, and friendly, with good service that adds to the positive experience. The restaurant is also appreciated for its allergy awareness and gluten-free options. It tends to get busy, especially on weekends, often requiring reservations, but many guests find it worth returning for the quality food and excellent beer selection. Overall, The Neighborhood Tavern is a reliable spot for good food, a wide beer selection, and a friendly atmosphere.
