“The food is great. I always get the taco special. The ingredients are fresh.
The only downside is the waiting area. You are packed like sardines in line to place or pick up an order.
I would definitely suggest calling ahead and placing an order for takeout over the phone.
There are a few tables for sit-down dining but the room is very tight and crowded.“

“Looking for dinner options along Moody Street and this was an easy choice. I've been to Dallas and had a fun evening in their Deep Ellum neighborhood so why would I skip the opportunity to try it again.

Lots of options here, considering we have meat eaters, pescatarians and kosher eaters in the group tonight. We started off with a plate of their pickles and they were fabulous. With it, beers! Including a draft German beer for me and a tin of a non-alcoholic for Mrs. K.

For main, I chose the Italian sandwich and it was fabulous. Well loaded and very tasty if perhaps a little messy. But that's what napkins are for. Mrs. K. chose the grilled cheese and said it was excellent.

Great service here and we had a fabulous evening. Five stars!“

“We have ordered takeout twice now. The food is excellent. We have had the enchiladas rojo, the carne asada Plato and quesadillas and an exceptional pork torta. All have been seasoned well and so flavorful! The only tiny complaint is that the side of guacamole with my quesadillas was very tiny, like a tablespoon. “Very fast and very good flavors I love the barbacoa. And the burritos are very popular here. You can choose from a lot of toppings. The only down site it's the don't have limes. The mango water and horchata are good too and I love the flan.“

“5 stars not for matching the service and atmosphere of a Michelin star restaurant but for being fast, fun, healthy(your choice) and delicious.
Love splitting a large Surf and Turf or Plantain burrito or bowl. Dine in cafeteria style, in style, or take out.“

“Paisanos is our family standard. We eat there usually once or twice a month and have been doing so since before Covid. The food is excellent - it is correctly prepared, very tasty, and the portions are more than sufficient. The menu is divided between Guatemalan and Mexican dishes. The margaritas are very real - made with real lime juice, Cointreau and top shelf tequilas. Prices have increased very slowly, so the most expensive dinners are now just over 20$. The service is fast and very friendly.“

“My favorite burritos in the Boston area, and quality is always consistent from Cambridge to Brookline to Newton over the past dozen years. I love it and will keep coming back!

But don't order online. Last time it took me over an hour after I ordered to actually get the food, waiting there in the restaurant for more than a half hour. If I had gone straight to the counter it would have taken 5 minutes.

Edit: If I could wish for just one change to the menu, it would be to have a vegan protein similar to Chipotle sofritas. Otherwise you just have beans, rice, and vegetables - which are pretty good, but not as satisfying.

But Anna's has the best variety of meat options, including three kinds of chicken. The pollo ranchero keeps me coming back despite my goal of limiting meat in my diet, it's just too good! And when in season, the agua fresca is second to none - horchata is quite good too.“

“Nice, clean restaurant. I ordered a beef burro with rice beans, and got a chicken burro with jambalaya. When I let the waitress know she got my correct order right away. The service was very good, I just thought the enchilada sauce was salty, and the chips were kind of shrapnel with huge pockets of salt.“

“Best Mexican, Salvadorean and Guatemalan food I've had so far within a hour radius. We got the fajita tejanas and the gordita (pollo) very flavorful, meats were soft and butter like, good cuts. Tortillas are homemade. I was the only white person here which is a sign that it's authentic or close to it. Will be dreaming of this. Seems like they have dancing at some point, and they have two bars. Great portions.
