Restaurantji's Tewksbury guide: Where to find the ultimate Mexican flavors.
“Enjoyed our dining experiences here. The service is excellent, the hostess very willing to help us accommodate dietary issues. It's a bit of a drive for us, but well worth it.Parking: Lot is generally full as there are a couple other restaurants here. Look in the back of the lot, you're likely to find a spot there.“
“My husband (Chris) and I started coming here when gas prices sky rocketed. We had always traveled for good Mexican, but said hey what the heck it’s the next town over and it’s been in town for quite some time, why not revisit this place (it had probably pbeen 15 years)? We were instantly hooked. It may not have the same vibe as some of the competition, but what it’s lacks in atmosphere (turn on the music) it makes up for with food, service, and consistency. I typically order enchiladas and an Italian margarita and my husband orders the burrito supreme (always two meals out of it). Our children love everything they have ordered from the fish tacos to the hotdog. The wait staff is always friendly and more often than not accommodations can be made to your order. Oscar’s Piñatas our diamond in the rough we <3 you :) 5*** do not pass this place by!-Rachel L.Kid-friendliness: Our kids love the rubber ducky machine“
“I've tried other restaurants that serve quesabirria tacos but none compared to Pablo's tacos and burritos! Service is always fast and friendly. Plenty of parking and you get text updates about your order when you place an order online, which I really appreciate!Parking: Parking lot is shared with other businesses and a college but always plenty of places to parkKid-friendliness: They recently added chicken tenders and French fries if your kid doesn't like/want a taco“
“To get a “true taste of Mexico” you got to visit El Potro Mexican Bar & Grill. I stopped into their Lowell location last week and they play to win. THE BEST Birria Tacos, with amazing consume. THE BEST homemade tamale's in a corn husk and steamed, great margaritas and they even make their own sour cream themselves!Featured items:BIRRIA TACOS3 TACOS FILLED WITH OUR SLOWLY ROASTED BIRRIA MEAT. “Located across the street from a large church, neighborhood seemed okay, limited parking around, grabbed a spot on main road, thankfully free parking on Sundays and holidays.Place is small, think around 6 tables, service is at the counter, wasn't very busy around 12:30pm on a Sunday. Sadly they were out of the tortas, lengua, horchata, and guacamole.Their quesabirrias and al pastor tacos were excellent. The jamaica drink was good. ood was made on the spot, took about 10 minutes for the quesabirrias to come out.Portions were good, the prices were between 13-16 dollars a dish, so a little bit pricey. The service was friendly and approachable. If I wad in the area again and feeling for tacos I'd return.“
“The restaurant is beautiful, clean and the staff attentive. The complimentary chips and salsa are yummy. We ordered ceviche, which was fresh and full of flavor. The garlic shrimp and rice were also delicious but regretfully came out cold. We also got tacos that were very tasty. Overall, great food, good drinks, and nice ambiance.“
“Hidden gem in Lawrence! Bomb food, I’m obsessed with how they cook their rice. It’s so fluffy and soft; I pour their side of beans over it and I’m in heaven. I had their steak and chorizo tacos but will come back for their chicharron tacos (they were out when I was here). My husband gets the burrito every time and loves it.“
“I came with my wife after an extremely stressful day and getting at the restaurant we found out selves with this wonderful hidden jewel. Amazing service great food and drinks awesome atmosphere. Our server "Camilo" has an outstanding customer service all around very attentive and " Jaime the general manager was amazing as well. Like I mentioned before, outstanding customer service. Exceeded all my expectations. Looking forward in coming back again soon! I recommend 10/10??????“
“Had a great dinner with very good service. Drinks and food were very good and the service was excellent. Will definitely go back. One recommendation for management — consider broiled or flame cooked fish for the tacos (vs breaded and fried only).“
“Let me say they moved! I found it though! Amazing food as always! Cozy was the best waiter, so helpful. the POSITIVE VIBE HERE IS THE BEST! Read , relax and eat some homemade comfort food!! look no further. I ordered the guacamole of course! Consome de pollo! Homemade chicken soup! Feed the soul and stomach here! followed by Honey Habanero slider! Milkshake with oreos and cinnamon! ❤️❤️❤️❤️??. I WILL BE BACK TO RELAX, work on photos and read. taking some soup to my son too! I love this spot!“
“My family and I have eaten here twice & both times our meals were fresh & delicious & the service genuine & friendly.Although their dishes are catered to an American audience on the basis of portion size & ingredients, Casa Blanca deserves 5 Stars for their efforts, atmosphere & consistency. We look forward to our next visit when we're in their neck of the woods!“
“The food and service here is always wonderful! Very attentive servers and the food comes out quickly and is delicious! My margarita was great too! I love the environment and cleanliness of the establishment as well. All in all, a great family friendly place to eat. We will be back!“
“This place absolutely SLAPS huge portions of fresh authentic food and its very cheap, the yellow rice and beans were phenomenal and the steak was juicy and tender and full of flavor , some of the best dominican food I've had, the staff was very friendly and explained all the food to me.“
“I love a good spot with good food. This establishment is one of my go-to ever since they’ve been in business. They started out as a food truck and now they are located here! You won’t regret it ? the dish you see is called papa loca and it was so good“
“Honestly ive been around to many " mexican" restaurants before around the area and this one looks not fancy at all from outside, but eh finally decided to give it a try, best foooooooood ive had around this area, drinks not so good plus no draft beers but the food was amazing . If they fix the drinks and add more servers, poor malecia was alone serving everyone shes amazing, would deff be my to go place.“
“The food was excellent! Very authentic and flavorful. Portions were generous and everything was hot in temperature. Even after driving 20 minutes home. Quesa Birria tacos we our favorite. With the consume it hit the spot! Will definitely be back.“
“We came here a few weeks ago because we are still in search of some excellent fajitas and my husband hadn't been here in years. It's a very small restaurant, but they do have tables. Very busy with takeout! It is BYOB. I got the chicken flautas and they were good, if a little thicker than I'm used to. The chicken was very tender. My husband got the steak and chicken fajitas. He was not asked how he wanted the steak cooked so we were interested in how it came out. He said although the meat was flavorful and tender, he wished it came in long strips. The rice was delicious. We got the mild and spicy salsa and my husband said the spicy salsa was the best salsa he's every add. I was also very happy with how fresh and flavorful the guacamole was! Really nice local place that we will definitely come back to!“
“Chips and salsa to start - service was excellent. We ordered tacos al pastor that were very chewy, bummed - because they were seasoned very nicely. Guacamole was great. Ceviche was ok - a little smokey? Not what I was expecting... Margaritas were delicious! We'll be back!“
“Had a very nice experience! The place looks pretty neat with its brick wall decor. I had excellent enchiladas with the white creamy jalapeno sauce. Great, warm service as well. Tried their mad love cocktail of the month - that was pretty tasty too.“
“Easy to find location, parking and the freshest food I've ever eaten. Ordered the luncheon chicken fajitas. It was a large serving enough for leftoversThe guacamole is freshly made and is beyond anything I've ever tasted. Excellent food, attentive staff and a comfortable environment! Check it out!“
“The food was amazing. We ordered cheese dip as an appetizer and expected the usual tiny offering with a high price, that you get at most restaurants nowadays. Nope, not Panchos. The bowl was massive, and the queso was delicious. There were four in our party and we all enjoyed our selected menu items. Service was friendly and attentive.“
“Food was good but got charged more because the waitress didn't say that the prices on the menus where wrong ? but overall the tacos de birria where good, the chip and salsa was good and the music was not too loud nice place to visit , i recommend it just check the prices before you “
“The customer service rep tommy is the best food rep the experience was amazing tommy took my order and ran out back after washing his hands he made my order in and out in 5 to 10 minutes and the positive vibe and the professionalism and how polite he is and he did this all on his own I don't know how he is not a manager yet“
“Nice place, food was good but not a 5, service was very good. Atmosphere was nice but the night we were there there was a large group that didn't understand the concept of indoor voices! Also portions were kinda small. First mexican restaurant I had to ask for tortillas.“
“First visit and we WILL return. We had frozen margaritas. They gave us chips and salsa. We ordered guacamole. The chips were hot and crispy. Salsa and guac very tasty. Entrees were good portions and delicious. Not long wait time for anythin“
“I don't know where to start with Tacos Lupita, for starters they have the kindest staff, the service there was clean and quick. The food was excellent! I ordered a carne asada burrito and it truly felt like I was in México. The first bite was filled with flavor, their horchata was homemade and I felt the same feeling when my mother makes it. God bless her. The experience was amazing. Definitely recommend to anyone who wants to sit, have a nice bite to eat, and feel like loved and cared for. Hands down one of the best Mexican restaurants in Lawrence.“
“I was scared of going to this place because of the reviews but I’m the type of person that likes to try things before judging and I’M SUPER HAPPY I gave them a chance, I had a Chile relleno, pupusas revueltas and tamales de puerco!!! Oh man soooo good! The food is amazing great taste, and the people were nice, helpful and actually very friendly answering questions I had.“
“To enjoy this place you seriously need to calculate your time and interest for the money to actually drive through the bustling city of lawrence and hope to god find parking to get food because delivery is usually an hour and 30 minutes, always over an hour and may get your food incorrect, not to mention it can get expensive on some ideal plates. When youre finally eating you forget the hassle and stress and are very impressed and satisfied. They seriously cook great hispanic food, great strong generous seasoning.“
“The food is always great! My only complaint would be they never are serving pupusas- which is probably their best menu item! Whenever I ask for them, they tell me they can’t make them. I wish they would just take it off the menu to spare my disappointment “
“This was our first time at this restaurant, and although we had an issue with one of our meals, the weight staff manager, and general manager were all incredibly accommodating. It is rare to see that level of Customerservice, and it has definitely earned a return visit from us.“
“Great music, great services and DELICIOUS food!! My food was on time and fresh, i truly enjoy coming here with my family!!! I love that they do events for children!! Aswell. I feel like I'm with my culture when I step foot into this restaurant the people are so generous in every way and makes me feel like I truly belong!!“
“I am in LOVE with this place. The people are adorable and attentive. The tacos, corn and avocado chips are sooooo good , I also brought a tamale to eat at home ? I have been there twice already and I am planning to go back! 20 stars for you guys!“
“First and last. Sad to say I had high expectations when entering this restaurant, but the treatment was not 100%. The appetizer order went to the wrong table. The food was a little unbalanced. The server kept forgetting to come back. Saying "sorry" but it wasn't that busy from what I could see.The interaction felt awkward needless to say.The food took very long to come out. The coffee was very strong. The only thing that was pleasant was the music playing.“
“That place is the best. And it's way better than the plaza azteca. Because when I went to plaza azteca, I agree of some has been taking too long for a few minutes when I went especially on a special errands afterwards. Too greasy as I remembered. So margaritas are the best. Food are the best. Tables are the best. All of it. So that's the best place I'd like to dine here.Parking: To choose a parking of not taken a spot which is simple when I'm dining there.“
“It took me a couple of tries to figure out what I like from Mexica, but now I know and will definitely be a loyal customer. I already liked their chips and queso, guacamole and portion sizes- but I am now a huge fan of their barbacoa and carnitas burrito (had not tried before). A little bit of a hidden gem but certainly not to be missed if you're in the area“
