Every neighborhood should have a Blue Jay's. I stopped by here to grab a sandwich when driving through Dedham, and so happy I found it! The owner was so pleasant, patient as I took my time deciding what I wanted, and made me a delicious classic tuna sandwich. This is a no frills type of place. Good food, good people and the type of place that will put a smile on your face just walking in

Great food in a friendly atmosphere. I've had breakfast and lunch here in the past, and it's always good. The pancakes are amazing and the prices are definitely reasonable. Definitely worth checking out if you're in the neighborhood.

I like blue jays a lot. A classic and friendly breakfast and lunch spot that every neighborhood needs. My one criticism is that they really need to stock fresher tomatoes -- the quality of the tomatoes recently has honestly been poor. They or break a sandwich, especially in the summer.

I worked at Blue Jay in the summer of 1985, taking orders and making subs. The counter and food prep areas were always immaculate and George was like a well-oiled machine, cooking and cleaning up while chatting with customers. Stopped in today - had the small steak and cheese with fries. Hubs had meatball and sausage with fries. Sandwiches were delish and bigger than expected. Bread was soft and fresh. Only wish he would have had limes as I wanted to try the lime Rickey. Excellent value for all that good - $25. Wow!

Unbelievably good sandwiches. Like stepping back in time when you go in to the 1980s. Prices are ridiculously low and the cook was a very nice guy. Loved the place.
