I used to order from here all of the time but haven’t in a few months because I moved out of state. As this used to be my favorite place before my last experience. I am extremely dissatisfied. For one, I always order the Birria tacos which usually are made with a tender short rib meat. This time it was regular shredded taco beef that was dry and did not taste fresh at all. We also had no onions or cilantro. I asked for one with no cheese but not just meat…Also, I ordered a side of yuca fries. Last time I ordered I remember there being about 10 fries. Maybe 8 but still enough to share. This time there were only 4 in the box! . I called and asked how many do they usually pack and they said 5 fries. I politely told the woman on the phone they should change that policy because for $7 and 5 fries, that’s not even a dollar per fry. I am extremely disappointed as I’ve recommended you all to many people which I will now have to share my experience with.

We were craving some tacos and decided to stop by La Taqueria for some takeout. I was honestly shocked at the quality. Everything was so fresh flavorful and beautifully prepared. This spot is such a gem.
STREET CORN We got two and they were incredible. Sweet corn coated in creamy sauce spices and cheese. Messy in the best way and full of flavor in every bite. Absolutely delicious.
SMOTHERED BURRITO Black beans carne asada veggies lettuce and hot sauce all wrapped up and then smothered in salsa verde and salsa roja. This was phenomenal. So saucy so flavorful and perfectly balanced. The carne asada was tender and the sauces soaked right into the tortilla. Loved this so much.
INTERNATIONAL TACO COMBO Flour tacos with cilantro lime rice and we chose cajun shrimp pork belly and fried fish. Every taco had its own flavor profile and they were all amazing. The shrimp was seasoned perfectly with a little kick the pork belly was rich and tender and the fried fish was crispy with great texture. So good.
INTERNATIONAL TACO COMBO Our second combo came with mango habanero shrimp cajun shrimp and pork belly. The mango habanero shrimp was sweet spicy and juicy and the shrimp itself tasted super fresh. Another great mix of flavors. Loved this variety.
FRIED FISH TACOS We ordered two extra and these did not disappoint. Crispy fried fish inside warm flour tortillas with red cabbage for crunch. Light fresh and so satisfying.
YUCCA FRIES These were addictively good. Crispy outside soft inside and perfect for dipping. A great side to all the bold flavors.
Everything we ordered was flavorful fresh and clearly made with care. Portions are generous and the menu has so many fun options to mix and match.
La Taqueria absolutely impressed me and I will definitely be back. Highly recommend if you want delicious takeout that hits the spot every time.

The food tastes terrible and I saw cockroaches in there. I asked for pinto beans and they gave me mashed up something. I don't know what it was. The rice was hard and cold and dry big disappointment not worth it.

Ordered online got there when they said it would be done. Waited an extra 15mins!! People walking in ordering food and walking out before me. That doesn't make sense!! He said sorry for the long wait I gave you extra chips. WHATTT?? I don't want no extra chips!!! I should have said refund the $5 tip I gave you instead!!! I would rather go to Hyde Park location atleast their customer service is better.

Both here and Hyde Park always hit the spot! Having different rice options is great. I should probably try something else but always end up getting the Chicken Tinga Bowl with Cilantro Lime rice (no cheese, lactose intolerant). So good!
I was excited to try this place but wayyy to salty and honestly expensive. Better off making my own Mexican night.

I ordered dinner to be delivered at 5:30. At 5:50- no meal so I called and they said it was sitting there and the delivery driver forgot it. I asked to have a new one made since it had been sitting there for 30 min now and was told “it shouldn’t be an issue with the container that it’s in” I was told it would be there in 15 min or less. 20 minutes later I got a call saying they were 9 min away (as my kids were in the tub and both crying) So I received my meal at 6:30pm (an hour later than I requested and 2 hours after I had ordered it- on a Monday night) I was never offered any refund or anything. Will not order again and my husband and I have been regular customers for years.
