“A short drive to this brewery was well worth it. Most of their seating is outside so make sure you go on a nice day. There were lots of selections on draft as well as cans. Maybe the staffing was difficult at times during Covid, but they always tried their hardest and we were very happy. And the food is always delicious. “I ordered a cake from this place for my husband’s 40th birthday. We ordered the carrot cake. It is amazing! Being from out of town I was taking a chance just picking a bakery. The carrot cake was incredibly light and fluffy and the cream cheese icing wasn’t overly sweet, just right. Great find!“

“I bet I know what you need. You need a little outing. Yes, you might consider stopping at Jack's Outback. Why? Because it is what makes the day much more pleasant. Jack's is tucked cozily back from the road, you may miss it if you are not careful. Yet, where else are you going to get beautiful surroundings, a lovely pet to greet you, the best breakfast or lunch and waitresses that are so accommodating that you feel welcome as if they were waiting for your arrival. We have enjoyed their company and eats for years: the restaurant is spotless, the meals are excellently prepared and the company is lovely. The owner has adapted to the COVID 19 restrictions far and above what was required. And as the restrictions set in, she became more inventive. Her goal, how to make the journey a pleasant one, though we were all very frightened, I am sure she was to, but she did all she could to protect us and give us a breather if just for a few minutes. All of our dishes — Shrimp & Scallops with Garlic Sauce, lo mein, fried rice, and a vegetarian dish — were exceptional.

Fresh, crisp veggies in dishes, light garlicky sauté sauces without the heavy after-feel — felt healthy!

And the massive lunch portions today were such a good deal.
