Great food and friendly staff
We are lucky in that we live near Captain Frosty’s. They have great food and a varied menu but that’s only a small part of who they are. During Covid, it’s so easy to order on line, pick up outside with your name written on the bag. They message when your order is ready. So simple and the food is great. Captain Frosty's is a well-established local favorite with a long history and a dedicated following. The menu is extensive, offering a variety of options, including frappes and the BEST fish & chips, which come with delicious clam cake fritters and cole slaw. Customers order from a counter and have their food brought to their table. The service is excellent, with friendly and accommodating staff, and the prices are quite reasonable considering the generous portion sizes. The captains plate was delicious, and the food is always fresh & fried perfectly. The creamy and delicious coleslaw remains a bright spot, and the soft-serve ice cream can't be beat.
The summer weekend dinner rush can make for long waits, and there's very limited seating, but the food is TOTALLY worth it. Buzzers allow guests to wait in their cars. On less busy warm spring or fall days, the cozy indoor and outdoor patio seating offers a great atmosphere. Additional picnic tables on the 6A side provide extra space. This traditional roadside stand offers quality seafood and ice cream. The excellent lobster roll is fabulous and perfect, and the clam chowder is great. The restaurant was busy but the food came out fast. It is a great place with awesome food and fresh seafood. You have to come for the ice cream. Sit outside under the trees; it is just lovely.
