Captain Frosty's is a well-established local favorite with a long history and a dedicated following. The menu is extensive, offering a variety of options, including frappes and the BEST fish & chips, which come with delicious clam cake fritters and cole slaw. Customers order from a board and have their food brought to their table. The service is excellent, with friendly and accommodating staff, and the prices are quite reasonable considering the generous portion sizes. The captains plate was delicious, and the food is always fresh & fried perfectly. The creamy and delicious coleslaw remains a bright spot, and the soft-serve ice cream can't be beat.

The summer weekend dinner rush can make for long waits, and there's very limited seating, but the food is TOTALLY worth it. Buzzers allow guests to wait in their cars, even if parked across the street. On less busy warm spring or fall days, the cozy indoor and outdoor patio seating offers a great atmosphere. Additional picnic tables on the 6A side provide extra space, though they may have some ice cream drips. Despite the crowds, Captain Frosty's remains a must-visit for its tasty food, chill vibe, and the option to enjoy a cone or frappe to go.
