Food was good but found a staple while eating…. A staple in my food.. not sure how that happens. Called the restaurant to let them know and they hung up. Also the food goes right through you..

$1 for 1 ounce of salsa?!?! It was a 2 oz container and it wasn’t even full. The food was ok but not worth the prices. I will not be returning or recommending.

Top-tier Mexican food right on Dorchester Ave!

El Barrio Mexican Grill on Dorchester Ave is a true hidden gem. The food is absolutely fantastic — fresh, flavorful, and clearly made with love. I had the birria tacos and they were some of the best I’ve ever had. The meat was tender and juicy, and the consommé was rich and packed with flavor. The chips and guac were super fresh too — crispy, creamy, and perfectly seasoned.

The staff is friendly and welcoming, and the service is quick whether you’re dining in or picking up. The whole vibe is clean, casual, and authentic. If you’re in Dorchester and craving real Mexican food, El Barrio should be your go-to. Highly recommend!

Good local food. Good price. Yet I am vietnamese and love it. The burrito is a bit small but still fill you up. Add Sriracha and sweet relish. Omg tasted a lot better....

Staff was nice and respectful. I can be a little bit indecisive when I’m ordering my food and they were patient and gave me recommendations. The burrito bowl I ended up getting was exquisite, and when I realize there were some additional add-ons that I would like to have but failed to order, Jay an employee there gave me some sides at no additional cost. Highly recommend

I go there a few times but food is never consistent when it comes to flavors and textures, Today I almost choked on a bone from the Carnitas Taco. BONE was pretty good size lol I was hungry went right in swallowed & coughed untill was unlodged.

Delicious food

The chicken burrito was great . My feedback would be to take out the bay leaf . I ate a piece of it on accident . Even though they are edible it says it isn’t recommended.
