Their food isn’t bad it’s just those prices have skyrocketed to where I can’t justify eating here casually any more. $18 $19 for medium plate (that’s mostly rice)and can’t get the sweet and spicy as a side anymore. And they’re still giving u 3 little pieces of whatever meat u get with the half a pound of rice they wanna put on the plate. At least if ur gonna raise prices. Add more meat ! All the flames in mass and Ri. $9 for rice and $9 for meat. Somethings not mathing up here.

This location is convenient and looks nice but qualify of the food is not worth the attitude of the staff. The food at the Mattapan and Grove hall locations are well worth the attitude (most times)

I purchased a shrimp pasta pasta and when I got home there was only 1 shrimp. I told her at my next Visit and she asked what time was it, I 8:40 pm. She said that's why. Why did she charge me the whole amount???? I'll never order from there again.

The Mac and cabbage were cool, the chicken was overcooked 😑please invest in a 🌡️ it would make a world of difference. $14.50 for a small and Overcooked meat (the main) is outrageous.

You have to stand here the whole 30 minutes of your lunch break just to get a plate of food..just ridiculous. Why put a restaurant in a high volume area like ashmont and this is the kind of service you got. ONE PERSON WORKING IN THIS NIG STORE, MAKING THE PLATES AND COLLECTING. THIS LADY CALLING " STEPPA" AND HE IS YET TO SHOW UP. AS A JAMAICAN A JOKE TING DIS MR FLAMES

I always go to this flames I would consider it the best out the handful in Boston. It’s a new building band I’m sure they have a different chef usually got for a chicken meal whether it’s , curry , bbq or sweet chilli. There’s also Jerk chicken if you like a little kick. On this visit it was pretty good as usual but my veggies were cold and seeing as how I came in fairly early in the afternoon I would figure that everything would be fresh and hot or if not fresh at least hot. I’ve worked in restaurants before so I know the importance of not throwing out food but I would just hope that everything on my plate would be hot but overall still as far as taste and freshness I would pick them over all.
Vegetarian options: You can simple order multiple things without meat.
Parking: Theres a couple spots in front of the restaurant.
5/29/24 3:33pm. Walked in and Instantly felt bad energy. Women behind the counter seemed annoyed that I came in and didn't know the prices. I've had flames In the past and enjoyed the food. She was extremely unwelcoming from the beginning and I walked out. Not to mention she probably wasnt gonna put gloves on to serve my food. I'm not gonna pay if people are rude. If I could give no stars I would. Not the way you run a business customer service is number one! "Hi , how are you ?" And a smile goes a along way instead of looking at someone all angry God bless this women.

Never again!!!I went on my Lunch break and immediately told my server I have an allergy to pepper and if their Oxtail and rice was cooked with any pepper in it!!! This B**** said no but was also so rude about like I shouldn’t have an allergy smfh.She served me my large order of rice and oxtail with a side of yellow rice.Got to work and could not eat the food I paid for!!!!Poor customer service!! NEVER AGAIN!!!

They serve frozen vegetables and hard rice. I have visited several times and its always the same. I won't return. I can microwave frozen vegetables at home.

Lg stew beef. Meet TOUGH and dry. Not stewed. Didn't realize scotch bonnet pepper left with the seeds. Gravy watery. Waste of money. Never had this experience on Morton street.
