A beautiful local coffee roaster. Friendly owner and great coffee selection both hot and cold. Reasonable prices compared to the chain (Dunkin Donuts) next door, too 🤣.

Flat Black Coffee is an Australian-inspired café located in the Lower Mills area of Dorchester, near the Neponset River falls and the Adams Street bridge to Milton. The café is known for its excellent coffee, including a flavorful espresso blend and a "long flat black" which is an Americano. While seating is limited, the atmosphere is charming and it seems to be a popular local spot, with the staff being friendly and greeting many customers by name. Two hour street parking is available nearby. It is not a place for café camping or laptop loitering, but rather a spot to quickly enjoy a coffee. The café has a strict no-nonsense policy when it comes to presenting and photographing food and drinks, asking customers to focus solely on the food and drink itself.
