Absolutely phenomenal! Our table had fresh oysters, delicious entrees, and craft cocktails from the bar. We could not have been happier. Raymond was an absolute joy. Charming decor. Thank you!
We had a wonderful dinner Valentines night. The food , atmosphere and our waiter Ray were excellent!! It was our 1st time there but, hopefully not our last.
Thank you
Our first time at the Winsor House was in September 2022. It’s been perfect every time. You can’t go wrong with anything.
Windsor House Restaurant is an absolute gem. From the moment you walk in, the staff and bartenders make you feel genuinely welcomed with their friendly, kind, and attentive service. The menu offers a wonderful variety—from delicious appetizers to satisfying main courses and truly fantastic desserts—all at very reasonable prices. Every visit feels like a treat, and it’s quickly become one of my family's favorite places to dine. Highly recommended! 🍽️✨
New Years Eve at Winsor House couldn’t have been more perfect!
The chef nailed it with a fabulous five course tasting menu. The wine pairings were perfect but, as with many experiences, it came down to service to make a memorable evening. Our server Gwen as not only both personal and professional but she is a savant when it comes to describing a dish and especially the wines. If it were up to me, I give Gwen and the entire team at Winsor House a Michelin star for the food, wine and experience we throughly enjoyed on New Year’s Eve!
Can’t wait until they open up reservations for NYE 2026!
Service was excellent. All seafood choices - oysters, clam linguine were favorites. Nice ambiance, casual while classy.
We were very excited to go to Winsor House for the first time. We are big fans of the Island Creek franchise. Being New Year's Day, they were only open for Brunch, which we knew. We started off with 24 oysters and drinks. They were amazing. The bartender asked if we would be putting in more food and we said yes in a little bit. When we finished the oysters we told the other bartender that we were ready order something else and he told us the kitchen was closed and that they just found out. Had we known it was about to close we would have ordered earlier, but didn't think about it as the first bartender knew we wanted something else. On our way out, to another restaurant, we spoke to the manager. He seemed very dismissive and gave a weak apology, saying it was a communication issue. if we were rating on food and ambience, we would probably been a 4 or 5, but based on attitude, and “communication”, it has to be a 2.
I was a little disappointed the only option was the lunch menu. They were out of dinner rolls on Christmas eve (signature item). Service was ok, definitely seemed like they where all ready to go home. I understand that it is Christmas Eve, but honestly don't open if you can't provide the service. Too expensive a restaurant to not offer great service and full menu.
My wife's and I had reservation that was right when dinner started and it seemed they had some bumps to work out after their brunch service. We received a brunch menu when seated so my wife and I shared a dinner menu which wasn't a big deal. I kind of knew it wasn't going to be the best service when I asked the waiter what the driveway clams entree was, and he said “ It's just a bunch of clams in a bowl with some bread” which seems like a pretty lazy description. After that we ordered the bay scallop appetizer and dinner rolls, which took a while to come out. The main issue we had with the dinner was our entree came out literally about 3 minutes after the appetizers finally arrived. I am one of those customers if the food is great and my waiter keeps my drinks full through a bad service I am forgiving, but lastly the fries with my fish and chips entree were cold and the waiter wasn't very attentive and it took a while to get drinks ordered as we finished them.
Decorated for Christmas, fantastic... food , fantastic .. service, fantastic.. BUT had to eat with our coats on .. check came $$$$.. expensive..

very accommodating when we brought two toddlers and let us eat brunch at our own pace. the holiday decor is so fun and special. we loved it. we'll be back!
I had an absolutely incredible meal at the Winsor House! The food was outstanding from start to finish. The oysters were incredibly fresh, and the bay scallops served in the shell were perfection. You also have to try the Driveway Clams—they were unbelievable. If you are in Duxbury, this place is a must-visit. Can’t wait to come back!
I ate here last night for the first time and am already thinking about when I can make it back. The Winsor House was beautifully decorated for the holidays, and the service was excellent. I’m not a big fan of seafood, so the menu was limited, but I very much enjoyed the burrata toast and filet. I love that there was no rush to have us eat our food and get out like so many restaurants leading up to the holidays. They let us linger so we could enjoy our food, drinks, and the atmosphere.
I had the world's smallest “bowl” of chowder. It was the equivalent of less than a cup. My daughter had a bowl that seemed at least 50% bigger. I have been here 30+ times. Maybe it was the large Christmas crowd but really disappointed with portion size. Also, my wife ordered the strip steak for the first time. It was not cooked as ordered - medium rare. Parts were medium. Parts were medium+. Burgers and oysters were great as usual. Drinks were great.
Perfect. Took my mother in law out as a Christmas present and she loved it! Said her steak was delicious, her cosmo yummy, and the decor delightful. So thank you Winsor House! Whew
