We stopped by Downeast before going to the airport. 10/10 recommend! They have seating in their warehouse and also by the water. We went on a very warm day so it was perfect. Downeast has so many variety of flavors and it was hard not to try every one. Afterwards, we just walked to the airport (30 min, sidewalks the whole time).
The cider was good but the service and atmosphere wasn’t. Took the bartender forever to finish her story with the other employee before she greeted us. Wish it said to wear warm clothes before coming. The doors are open to the cold and it’s freezing in there. Even the employees said how cold they are while they work. One small space heater behind the bar isn’t enough. You can only do one tasting which is dumb. Won’t be back.
I swear Downeast has the best cider. I’ve tried a lot of different cider brands (bold rock, porter house, buskey) and nothing beats it for me. Sweet but not too sweet or tart, smooth taste, and flavors are so spot on.
