“We happened to be in Orleans and decided to grab an early dinner at The Barley Neck. We started with a dozen raw oysters and a bottle of French Chardonnay. The oysters were so fresh and delicious we ordered a second dozen. My husband had a lobster pasta dish for his entree and I had a Thai style tuna steak. Both were delicious, but a special thumbs up for the tuna. It was without a doubt the BEST tuna steak I’ve ever had! We finished with the pineapple upside down cake special! O.M.G. I'm guessing it's a good atmosphere for a warm summer day but for us cold, not helped by a table of heavily drinking golfers who were loud, and super crude. The hard surfaces amplified their noise. We should have sat with everyone else at the other end of the restaurant with everyone else. It was too late by the time we figured it out. Staff was awesome. Tara and Mike.“

No need for those with all the other scrumptious vegan fillings- you can load up a bowl or burrito with any and all vegan fillings- tons of vegetables, black and refried beans, and brown rice. But in this case, I think it's just a matter of people maybe not wanting to go to a golf club restaurant that may be considered a little harder to get to. Service is excellent - our waters were constantly refilled and even at the late hour, our server still made small talk and joked around with us. The noodles and fried rice we ordered had really good flavour and the portions were generous. I was really looking forward to eating my leftover pad thai for breakfast!“

And the massive lunch portions today were such a good deal.
