Kisara Japanese & Korean Restaurant

Had the worst service by jordyn b. Really like kisara, but being rude to guests is hurtful and felt super unwelcomed.

Kisara is an excellent restaurant. Their salmon hot pot is my favorite item on the menu, but you really can't go wrong no matter what you select to eat. Only challenge is that the place is quite popular. I suggest going earlier in the evening, as they get slammed later on.

I am a semi-regular who comes here for lunch specials.

Kisara is good *because* Santiago is the sushi chef here. Fish here does not taste the same without Santiago! He is extremely knowledgeable about fish and the right way of prepping all kinds of sashimi in all contexts and temperatures. He is also smart, hardworking, easy-going, down-to-earth. You’ll find him behind the sushi bar!

Raw fish and kitchen are two separate crews in this restaurant. Most kitchen foods are awesome, but the one time I ordered ramen for lunch special months ago, I did not like it. So I’ll stick to sashimi lunch specials 👻

Staff was friendly inside looked clean and cozy. Ordered the ramen which was good fairly plain. Biggest issue was the to go box. They give you a small container and i guess expect you to put the broth in it? Also the cup of broth was so full when i tried to open it the slight pressure made the broth squirt out the top. Not a huge issue but mildly inconvenient.
The food other customers were eating looked good though

I ordered the Kisara Special Bento and it exceeded my expectations! Everything was delicious. Our server, Tanisha, was wonderful—she got my order perfectly correct and was very attentive. I will definitely be coming back!

Such a cozy and pleasant place to eat quality sushi and other food and drinks. All the employees from the waiters to the chefs are friendly. Amazing ginger tea as well! 😊

I usually love this place but today the service was so bad. We arrived when the restaurant was mostly empty. We ordered a tofu salad to split and two entrees. The server brought out my friends entree first, I was still waiting.. After 15 minutes I flagged down the server and asked, ‘can i at least get the salad to eat while I’m waiting?’ I was so hungry. She brought a salad but it was the wrong kind, not what we ordered. Finally my dish came out. But my friends dish was cold by then. I’m sure the kitchen and sushi bar coordination had something to do with the horrible timing, but the server appeared to have zero experience, which didnt help. She should have given us a discount or something.

Everyone working there is so nice! They were super helpful with substitutions for our gluten free family member. Our food was delicious - especially the spicy pork. Excellent meal and atmosphere. We will definitely be back!

I enjoyed a delicious crab Rangoon roll alongside a bacon kimchi handroll at a clean restaurant with great staff, leaving me thoroughly impressed. A++ I'll be back for sure!
