Having worked as a general manager in the hospitality industry for the past eight years, I was appalled with what I saw at circa 2am on 9/24/23 when the bar was closing. Instead of kindly asking the guests to leave, a young bartender at the back bar (6ft ish, stubble, brown hair, baseball hat) proceeded to say in an aggressive manner “Party is over, get the f*ck out now, I don’t give a f*ck about your f*cking wedding party” and then screamed at a customer “F*ck you”...read full review
Unfortunately, my family and I had a similar experience at the Wharf restaurant in Edgartown about 2 weeks ago. We were seated immediately, and noticed we were the only brown folk there. The hostess was somewhat standoffish when seating us and never told us our server would be there, who they were, etc. We sat at our table and watched other families be seated and orders taken (all white).
