Had driven by this place many times. My mother went for lunch with some friends and raved about it, so we thought we'd give it a try. We went with some friends and the wait was longer than we normally would wait, but we had no where to be and a sitter until 11. We had Tresa as a waitress and apps, food and drinks were all great.
There is plenty of food. We easily could have shared the fish that came with french fries and onion rings and coleslaw. I did not have the clam chowder but I did have the haddock chowder and was not really crazy about it. The broth with the Chowder was very thin but did taste good. I much prefer a thicker clam chowder. I know some people go both ways. The service was very good but I had to ask for some items a couple of times. And I know this has nothing to do with the wait staff...
Food was so good. I had the blackened sword fish with mashed potatoes and my husband had the pork chop with stuffing and mashed potatoes. We both were very happy. The waitress was awesome. It was a wonderful place to eat for our 1st time eating in Massachusetts.
