We recently hired Googans to cater for a celebration of life. We kept it simple with a cheese and veggie platter, sandwiches and sweets- finger food. Everything was absolutely delicious! People were raving about how good the sandwiches and desserts were. I absolutely recommend for catering and also to stop in their shop for breakfast and/or lunch. We were very happy with our whole experience with Googan’s.
Husband and I were here a few years ago, got the homemade pop tarts! Fantastic! The young lady who is the pastry chef was very nice as was the woman who cashed us out. We are from Syracuse NY and will definitely be back someday. Highly recommend this adorable place!
What a gem! Spectacular regular and gluten free items. We had regular and GF breakfast, lunch and bakery items during our recent visit. Can't wait to visit again! Highest recommendation!

Googans Galley in Essex offers delicious food at reasonable prices, with a cozy atmosphere and friendly staff. Popular menu items include chicken pot pie pasta, the gotta lotta ricotta sandwich, and carrot cake donuts. The new so HAMsom sandwich is a great addition and has a wonderful texture. Breakfast options are delightful, featuring the great breakfast sandwich, cheddar scallion scone, and fresh coffee. The bakery serves spectacular regular and gluten-free items, including homemade pop tarts, lemon blueberry donuts, and strawberry banana bread. Good people own this place and run the front of the house. They also provide catering with a great menu, and the process is easy and well-organized, accommodating gluten-free needs. Parking is limited to time-restricted street spots. Stop in, say hello, and find something good to eat locally in Essex town center.
