During my visit to Boston for a conference, I chose to stay at Backpackers Hostel in Everett, Massachusetts. It's more of long term stay. Nice vibe but I was in a room that the girl set her alarm very early each day. And it kept going off for a good 30 mins. Other woman came in late and turned on lights.
We booked a private room. It had one double bed, tv, microwave, refrigerator, private bathroom inside the room with tub/shower combo. The room looked recently updated. Everything looked new, freshly painted, clean and a comfortable bed. Was it the Ritz? No, but for under $200 and 10 minutes from the city, it was perfect. All the staff were polite and friendly.
