The Newburgh sauce was the best ever, and the carrot cake was super yummy, creamy, and delicious. Service is described as friendly, fast, and great, with staff working continuously to ensure everything is taken care of. The restaurant is clean, and takeout orders are easy to place and ready on time, with gravies in separate containers to prevent spilling. The New Year’s Eve gala featured a beautifully decorated room, a great dinner, a midnight breakfast, a fun hypnotist show, and a DJ. The bartenders were wonderful and entertaining, and the drinks were delicious. McGovern's is popular with both older crowds and young families, and has been open since 1968.
