I stumbled upon this spot and was honestly blown away by how good the food was. Everything tasted super fresh and cooked perfectly, and you can really tell they take a lot of care with their recipes. It is exactly the kind of place you hope to find when you are just driving around and get hungry. I left feeling completely full and happy, and I will definitely be making another stop here the next time I am in the area.

We brought a big group of students from a local school here today and I can't say enough good things about this place. The staff were so inviting, the food was awesome, and the atmosphere is impeccable. Definitely a local gem. We will be coming back here for sure!

So many good things to say about this restaurant and the owners. Very friendly folks. This is the type of place that I could eat at all the time and not get tired of it. Great food! Reasonably priced too. So many things to choose from. Knowledgeable and careful about allergies. Everything we had was cooked well and delicious!!

We saw this place pop up on the map as we drove nearby. I laughed a the ludicrous name. We could see the building when we left our hotel. It was too hard to ignore. D-O-double-G? Our 90s rap-loving selves could not ignore it anymore. Double Z? One more Z and we would be in a food coma. We went in the next day for lunch. After we ordered, the owners made small talk, where ya from, you on April break, the usual. We said we were scoping out potential hotels for a July wedding we were going to. Well, they pulled out a map, gave us great advice, great conversation, and great food. The Kiddzz menu had lots to pick from. One kid picked the golden tinted mac and cheese, which is maybe colored with turmeric? Annatto? The other kid devoured a rib plate with tater totz, husband happily ate a big juicy burger, and I had a stuffed Quahog clam with linguica. We also had a classic hot dog and their chowder. They have a thinner broth, big chunks of potato, and plenty of clams. Good flavor on everything. Everything has a nice local Portuguese influence where it needs to be. They do a good job to try to have something for everyone. There's hot dogs, there's pork products, there's seafood, beer/wine/canned cocktails, there's a variety of food specials, there's T-shirtzz for sale, there's a TV, there's there's a Dole Whip pineapple sorbet machine, just like a Disney (or Dizznee) World. Are you in the happiest place on earth? No! You're in Hog Heaven. Doggz & Hoggz.
The food here is amazing, but what truly made the experience a 12/10 was Mike! We wandered over and opened the door to see if the place was open, and Mike welcomed us in saying he was about to open. It turns out he wasn’t opening for another 45 minutes! Mike was so friendly and we chatted while he was making our food. Everything was made freshly in the shop and smelled amazing. The pulled pork sandwich and salmon wrap were unbeatable. Will be returning soon!
