Drawing Board is as much a community center as it is a brewery. The husband and wife team running the show work tirelessly to create a sense of curiosity and adventure in their small batch beer recipes and a profound sense of fellowship in their space. Walk in and find people reading, playing board games, jamming on the piano, workshopping art and songwriting, and science lectures. They give to the community through fundraising efforts and they're just down to earth high quality people. It's so easy to be there and to be yourself. You can walk in by yourself and leave with new friends. This place is so special to me. And their beer is good! Go give them your money and your good vibes.

We held our pre-wedding hangout here, and it was awesome! They pack a lot of delicious variety into the handful of beers on tap (always changing), so there's something for everyone. People played board games and puzzles, but there's plenty of standing room to socialize which worked well for our big crowd. Corey & Tonka were wonderful to work with in planning it, and even helped us make our own custom beer label for the event! I look forward to visiting them the next time we're in the area.

I was never a beer person. DRAWING BOARD MADE ME A BEER PERSON. Tonka and Corey are wonderful people who clearly put a tremendous amount of care into not only their brewing, but also the space and type of community they want to create. Their beer is delicious, and if you're not in the mood for conversation, there are plenty of puzzles, games, and even some art supplies to choose from--including coloring books for kids and adults. The couches are extremely nappable and dogs are welcome! Plus if you're curious about the brewing process, they're happy to explain in great detail, and are obviously passionate about what they do. I always have a good time at Drawing Board and I can't wait to see what they brew up next!

Amazing place in the cute town of Florence Nextdoor to Northampton. The people here are incredibly kind and the beer is delicious. Awesome spot that’s dog-friendly and has outdoor seating. A must visit.

Brewers Tonka and Cory are great hosts. The beer is fantastic and the atmosphere is great. I strongly encourage people to grab a few pints and enjoy a few games of King Karma at the bar.

It pains me a bit to write this– from the other reviews, it seems like Drawing Board is a great part of the community, but I did not enjoy my experience.
One of the owners was staffing the bar and was very personable and kind. My beer was good. However, the ambiance is actively unpleasant. A good amount of the brewery's lighting is unshielded fluorescent lightbulbs hanging from the ceiling. There was no music playing until the owner played a few songs on the piano, and then it went back to silence after he was done. There's a back area full of equipment that's very visible, and both my table and chair wobbled. The space is ultimately just not very cozy or pleasant to sit in, and it feels like the attention was placed more on the beer than the overall feel of the brewery.
I think there's a lot of potential in the space, and I'd definitely be open to going back if there were some changes to the overall ambiance.

Drawing Board has great beer that changes regularly, great people working there (also the owners and brewers!), great people who go there, and (maybe the best part) they are a genuine community space. They have everything from puzzles, events, and poetry to games and reading nights. They're situated near a lot of dinner options as well and are happy for people to bring food and come hang out. They're good at what they do and they're truly local in the sense that they foster community and are committed to making sure people have a good time whenever they stop by.
