An amazing place! Incredibly creative and welcoming host — a true professional. The food was unbelievably delicious. We arrived at the restaurant after it had already closed, but the owner, Craig, who happened to be outside at the time, insisted that we come in and have dinner. He personally prepared us an incredible meal and treated us to wine. Craig is an exceptionally generous and kind person. Everything in this place is made with love and warmth. It was an unforgettable dinner. Thank you, Craig!
A wonderful café that embodies within the timelessness of the tiny town that surrounds it. It’s full of antiquities and brimming with 19th century personality. The owner, Craig Bero, personally tends to patrons and runs the kitchen and coffee bar. He is friendly, dedicated, a first-rate cook, and a delight to talk to. Definitely recommend the quiche, which comes in a huge plate served with greens, seasoned potatoes, assorted fruits, and mixed veggies in a delicious tomato based sauce. Coffee, both milk based and American, are wonderful as well. Pleasant and Main is definitely a must if visiting the area!
So glad to have stumbled upon this spot! The atmosphere, food and service are all stellar. A day later, and we’re still talking about the special strawberry rhubarb pancakes. I can tell no one leaves here hungry! Incredibly cozy and charming both inside and out— the backyard garden is very neat.
Highly recommend, food is innovative and extra special. It's always a delightful experience at Pleasant and Main. Especially pleased to have had a selection that included ramps.
Antique store vibe, old school charm, delicious food and lots of shopping...
We were a group of 6 and ordered a lot of different dishes - all of them were great. The specials were also very tasty!
My wife ended up buying a couple of antiques as well...
Highly recommended! Also, if you are going in a busy time of the year, then get a reservation!
Lovely place to sit and look around. Food is always a great experience
A delicious place where healthy and original food is served among beautiful antiques by a very nice staff.
A quirky gem. One of my favorite restaurants in the Berkshires!
Different. Unique variety of menu options. The crepe dishes are a delicious and unusual option but after trying the ratatouille and pot pie crepes, it was clear to see why they’re on the menu. Very friendly service and one of a kind atmosphere. Put it in your gps because it is very easy to drive right past. Worth the stop.

What a pleasant surprise. The Farmers Market Omelet was absolutely delish served with home fried potatoes and mixed green vegetable salad. Yummy. As much as I would love to try something different on this menu, I will have a hard time not ordering the Farmers Market omelet again. Unique atmosphere, perfect place to have a breakfast/lunch and browse throughout the place to see lots of lovely antiques. Nice casual country atmosphere. Loved it.

Despite having just closed up the kitchen to prepare for a big wedding, the owner Craig seated us, turned the grills back on, and made us a lovely and delicious quick meal. We got to chatting about being New Yorkers (where Craig used to live and ran a restaurant in the West Village.) The space he’s made is so charming and a testament to his spirit as a creative. Despite our protest, he comped our meal and even gave us a bag of juicy organic peaches, plums, and apples from an abandoned orchard.
Craig is an absolute gem of a human, he’s so incredibly generous and kind. I hope you’ll give Pleasant and Main a try to get a taste of his delicious food and experience his hospitality.
Thank you, Craig!

Absolute hidden gem!!! We found this place after hiking up to Monument Mountain for sunrise one morning. Got there at opening time and ordered the peach pancakes, as well as the ham and cheese quiche (per recommendation). The Owner was beyond hospitable, and brought us out croissants and blueberry muffins straight out of the oven to try. He closed his café in New York over a decade ago and moved to the birkshires to start this gem of an operation. The aesthetic and atmosphere of this place makes you feel like you’ve been taken to a time capsule in 19th century Europe. So much natural light coming through the windows, and the café latte and Americano was out of this world! Would come back in a heart beat. 10/10 surpassed expectations ??
